People don't read I guess.

It's like the bizarre concept about there being no combat log because the devs don't want people to get hurt feelings when Zoeller came out and specifically refuted that idea.

This is a new game. All the bads who felt like it was some elitist conspiracy keeping them down in other games are here now and it's going to be different this time.

if you want to change your trees, pay the price...my god are you a bunch of whiny babies. played SWG for years. if i wanted to change my character i could but had to dump all my skillboxes and grind back up. in wow, if i wanted to play a different class i had to make a new character.

everyone wants to have everything at their disposal. if you want to keep rerolling your toon, suck it up and pay the credits. if you don't want to do that, then make a new toon and grind his *** back up and use him when u need that class.

I'm all for choice and I think including dual-spec opens up MANY more options than keeping it out, just for the sake of hybrid specs.
For me, it's much more fun to be able to do two things well enough, rather than be the best at one single thing. And this "well enough" needs to be balanced so that it isn't relatively better or worse than doing a single thing best.

Dual spec just means I can take my mercenary BH from the bodyguard skill tree to one of the other DPS focused skill trees. That's it. Dual Spec doesn't mean letting me flip between the two advanced classes. It means having two different talent tree build outs for the same advanced class. That's it.
You forgot without any cost to it and that you can switch it wherever you are

Who said the ability would be free or that it wouldn't have a CD?

Or more like spoiling people who cant choose and want everything easy.

If you want to tank... roll a tank.
If you want to healer ... roll a healer.
etc..
Whats wrong with creating 3 chars?...

And if you dont want to roll 3 chars... then you have to pay for the privilege of not having to level up 2-3 chars.

Sounds normal to me.

Being able to create 1 char that can fill 3 rolls on the fly is not only "to easy" ... its also just plain unrealistic (yes.. i said it.. unrealistic in a fantasy game!!)

But hey.. it'll probably be implemented cause there are more people wanting easy-play then there are people that want a challenge
Cant really tell if you are trolling or not.

How do you figure? Specializing in any one area should net you better results, no? Being able to spec so that you can do it all in one spec and not be penalized is really no different than dual specs.

yes. you are correct. we should disregard all advancements in gaming and do things the "old way".

hell in early MMO history, i didnt even get to see what other players looked like. we all looked pretty much the same. so i guess we should also get back to basics right? get rid of different gear models?

back in the day, guilds were not actual entities, but rather groups of people that wore the same outfits...so we should go back to that right?

/thread for people who think everything old was grand.

again horrible arguments against dual spec

we can just re-roll? are you kidding me??

worried about people rolling on your stuff?? play with decent people....

i believe bioware is smart enough to see that dual spec...hell even quadruple spec is the way to go. Dont take away depth and versatility because people are worried about noobs rolling on there purples.....

Dual spec is a no brainer.

Didn't bother to read thread, but the other logical alternative is to level up by grouping with other people
