Or you could do what me and my friends did, plan ahead, and choose 1 person to tank, two to dps, and one to heal. Don't tell me none of the four of you wants to be a healer?

As it should be.
Hey Genius...

Explain the Respec Trainer in the Fleet then if the concept was you're stuck with the "role" you put points into at level 10?

Make a nice little thread asking Bioware to get rid of respecs if it bugs you so much. As long as Respecs are in the game then Dual spec is just a QoL perk for those who want to use it. You're free to RP your role until the servers close for all I care.

I like my gameplay to be challenging not putting groups together. In a game that allows 6 or 8 man parties and has less clearcut roles you can mix a decent party together a lot of different ways. Here you can't because each character's role is pretty clearcut and you only have 4 slots to work with. The most effective party will always be 2 DPS, 1 Heal, 1 Tank.

That means unless the population looking for a group breaks down like that perfectly each time, you will be sitting there waiting for groups longer.

I prefer blasting things to spamming "LFG" or "3/4 for Flashpoint. Need Tank." For half an hour. Being willing to sit there pasting the same line of text every few minutes for half an hour isn't my idea of a fun challenge.

PLEASE BIOWARE... DONT MAKE THIS WoW 2 !!!!!! ...
Don't make the game to easy. it's easy-going already...
Its not even about it being hard its about it being *********** annoying. Let me sit and and respec for 5 mins then change all my bars around for another 10 mins then let me lose x amount of credits for having to repecs to fill a role we dont have. Its about conveinance and efficiency. When you can change spec and all your bars change with one button you are off and playing and having fun instead of sitting at the fleet dicking around with your bars, spec, etc. Wow did it for conveinance to the user instead of making the process TEDIOUS. Its about tedium its not about it being hard.

Remove all specs in general, just enable all trees to everyone, give them 150 levels, so there are enough points to get everything.

End.
SKyrim isnt a MMO and the gameplay is horrible.
it looks great and you have freedom .. point... thats about it.

anyway.. about your idea... i think someone else posted that Final Fantasy 99 or somethign tried this and it failed horribly (i am no FF fan, so i can be wrong that ther eis a FF MMO).

Sounds great, but in MMO's it doesnt seem to work.

How did WoW ever survive all that time before enabling dual specing?

Respec Trainer with increasing penalties to use =/= Dual Spec option to freely swap specs

Speaking of geniuses, geez!

These arguments are all moot. It's more or less fine right now, but wait about 6 months when people start complaining on the forums they can't get heals or tanks for their groups.

It will happen. It's already happening in general chat. I have both a tank and a healer, pretty good at both, but I still play my DPS characters more because guess what, I'm in a group a LOT less than when I'm playing alone. At this point I don't know when I'll be getting back to tank/heals, just because leveling feels like nothing but a grind.

No matter how much you want this game to be hard core, it is not. Go play Vanguard. I don't think asking for duel specs is asking for the moon. Do you guys really not feel like you're overreacting to this request?

How did people survive without TV, Radio, Cars, the Internet, Planes...yada, yada, yada.

Please stop using that horrible excuse. Just because we did something in the past doesn't make it better.
