Same here. Not an overheat issue, ran temp monitors first time I saw it to test. Fully updated Radeon 5770. Comes off the top of those tall green laser pillars on Tatooine and Alderaan mostly, but you can see them occasionally everywhere.

None of the cards are defective or having "up-dated software issues" ... The error is there ( IMHO). Some folks are picking it up, while others are not. ( I'm not sure if that makes sense or not )

This phenomenon is not graphics tearing from your graphics card, it's a bug caused by the laser lamp posts, placed almost everywhere in the game. I know this because after seeing it for a large amount of times, I told my friend to come where I was and check if he saw this too, which he did. It's green laser coming out of the top of the lamppost, covering the whole screen in an direction by horizontal lines. I noticed this LOTS when I was playing on my republic character, but never on my imperial, so it seems that lamp post is only in republic bases. Hope this is fixed soon!

I spotted ONE, maybe TWO at the beginning of the game ( for Smuggler ). BUT, that was about it. Tatooine DEFINATELY has this issue at ever place where you find the taxi and those towers. I have not been to Alderaan enough yet to give any data for that location.

Example of the green / rainbow lines (or the green plane of blinding light). It happens a lot around the tall "power" pillars scattered around near the quest hubs on various planets. Such as the one in Kalikori village on Tython, or at the first speeder outpost on Taris.
