Improvise, adapt, overcome.

Or whine like a b**** on the forums until BW nerfs them into a do nothing class.

So...

Scissors=OP and Scoundrel?

Paper= Everyone else?

Do you just not like the thought of losing your guaranteed kill? Play a class that actually challenges you? Or go easymode?

LOL tough choice I know.

The idea that is being quoted (no source named on it by the way...simply people claiming it as fact) "PvP revolves around a team unit" is simply being used as a weak excuse for some players to maintain a situation where they enjoy a guaranteed 1v1 kill.

I have not seen this statement on the structure of PvP from BW, just from maladroit easymoders in this forum.

So if you demand that other players need a team to succeed...you don't feel that ought to be applied to you as well...you feel that 1v1 guaranteed kills uphold this claim that you keep beating your chest about?

So question is this is a PvP team based game...why don't you need a team to succeed?

Oh yeah..it doesn't apply to you...just everyone else.

This depends on what you think the goal of pvp is. Kills or winning the match via objectives. Winning 1v1's doesn't win games, securing objectives does. Most other classes are far better suited at this than Op/Scoundrel.

That being said, Op/Scoundrel are not guaranteed wins 1v1 against all classes. It is very clear to me after jumping someone if they know how to fight me or not. I find the players who know how to effectively counter me, and I avoid them. If I find that you don't know how to counter me, I'm going to look for you because you are easy kills.

I've seen numerous posts today describing exactly how to counter us, all of which work. Being an Op/Scoundrel is certainly not godmode, and I'd argue that turning the tide in a group fight (other classes) is more valuable than being able to win a 1v1 off on some empty corner of the map.

I have seen far more posts explaining how having guaranteed 1v1 kills on stealth rogues classes is "as intended" because "you need to be in a team to succeed" that is unless you are a stealth rogue type in which case you just need to log in.

This game is all about crowd control. Those who have it the most win. The stupidest balance ever. I mean operative can stunlock you to death and if fails - use that fancy 8 sec aoe sap and bye-bye... True skill it takes.

Take biochem as a crew skill. Seriously this is the most important thing use rakata medpack and and heal consumables, from what I have heard they are on separate cds (don't have a rakata yet to confirm) so you can double pot to full. Since they can't sustain that damage they either vanish and run away or you get a turn at pounding.

well, in a game with responsive controls, you'd trinket/tenacity and then either use a stun, heal, or survivability ability in the middle of their burst/lock.

however, in a crappy game like SW:TOR that isn't an option because, by the time the ability activates, you are either dead, or having to sit through a maddeningly long GCD/UI lag. Annnnnnd, you're dead

this isn't a pvp game, get used to the fact. The way I see it, pvp is a way to quickly get entry-level ops gear. gj bioware! maybe the next time you can spend 300 million bucks for a decent product! good luck anyways!

Nerf their burst and you effectively killed their damage tree. It's all they do well so take it away and they are useless. If you get butt hurt because they killed you in 1 stun+5 seconds:

1) CC break the knock down. Since it is the strongest form of CC it fills your resolve in 1 shot.
2) medpack or expertise stim
3)DoT, anything to stop them from stealthing and running.

Now they have almost 0 energy and their energy regen is in it's lowest state. Have your way with them.

^ this exactly.

Let them keep the burst with no CC.

I shouldn't have to rely on my 2 minute cooldown so I can have a *chance* to fight a scoundrel with half my health already gone. What if said ability is still on cooldown? Just die?

I understand they are about as good as BH once opener is over but that's as it should be. The problem is that knockdown and subsequent 3 second death while locked and rocked if trinket is on cooldown; that is BS.
