As a sawbones, and a constant target of both operatives, and assasins... hi thoodo, and barrel! I think these guys are where they need to be...

1) Expertise changes a lot.
2) TANKS change a lot, I mean most these people dying in these videos are alone, or don't have a good tank or healer.
3) Pick up bio, get yourself a nice little 8k heal stim... damage negated...
4) Dot them, I mean seriously once an op or scoundrel pops out for the firs time, any good group is going to make sure they only have a chance to do that once. KEEP dotting, because dodge will remove dots and they can vanish again, so dot dot dot until dead.

These guys hurt, but they are squishy as well... if your team lets them run rampant then they are clearly going to put up huge numbers, but this is because 90% of the people playing SWTOR *think* they can PvP...

Again as someone who is constantly a target of these guys I think any nerf would just kill the class. I imagine 90% of the people are complaining are level 15's in the warfronts with 0 expertise, and frankly shouldn't even be in the warfronts with 50's. I have nearly 16k hp, and 10% damage reduction as a HEALER... This is after a few weeks of pvping at 50 and gathering bags.

How about we fix the CLEARLY broken stuff first, then worry about balance a bit. Lets fix the mirror classes so they are actually mirrors... lets fix the bolster system to not give higher stats to imperials, and for the love of whatever diety you follow please stop putting level 11's in warfronts with 50's... so we can stop 90% of all the crying on the forums.

This is why you are a failure...

Guard in PvP redirects 50% of all damage to you, tuants in PvP reduce damage to the target by 30%, and guardians get guardian leap which reduce damage by another 30%. You give me a guardian that knows what he's doing and as a healer I can tank 10 guys and never need more than a single hot to stay alive...

this right here is the reason DPS runs rapant like they are, 90% of tanks are stupid. I never heal a tank that doesn't guard or tuant in PvP, because that would waste my energy.

Always have your defenses up. Always assume there is a stealther around you and pop whatever defense cool downs up before battle. These cool downs can save you if you have them up.

That's weird?

I'm a full tank specced vanguard, 250 expertise and 15.5k health, not to mention armor and passive % dmg reductions. Operatives still TEAR through me in under less than half a minute. I'm also wearing the tanky pvp set, but doesn't seem to help.

Lots of good techniques have been mentioned for countering 1v1, but by far the biggest counter to Ops/Scoundrels is teamwork, which seems to be lacking in most pug pvp.

For example, as a scoundrel I see two ranged players happily pew-pewing way in the back alone. I jump one, and the other continues attacking his target because he REALLY wants that killing blow (or whatever), while I decimate his buddy who is face first in the dirt. Then, after my first target dies I am able to re-stealth because no one else hit me. Guess who happens to now be alone in the back, who do you think I am jumping next? Then guess who complains that they got killed?

Ops/Scoundrels are a 1v1 class in a team based game. If you let us jump you 1v1 we have a good chance to come out on top. It is your fault, or your teams, for letting us 1v1 you.

If you see an OP/Scoundrel (the guy behind someone laying face first in the dirt) do something about it. If you do anything at all to counter us during our opening we're screwed.

If you take my example with two ranged chars. If the one turns and knockbacks/stuns or even just switches targets and attacks me, then I end up dead and him and his buddy live to continue there pew-pewing.
