Come on BW... like *** is up with that ****. Is it that hard to implement something, where the game can figure out **** you've already unlocked so you dont waste your time like this. Ive chatted with numerous people that have had the same problem and are entirely frustrated by this bull ****. Huttball was fine and dandy the first few 100 times, but damn i cant even get a proper return for all the work ive put in playing that **** to death...

This seriously needs a fix and quick.
If you are that sick of doing huttball maybe you should have rolled Republic in the first place.

I feel the pain of the OP. I don't really know how many bags I have opened, maybe 30? I have received two earpieces, one implant, my generator, a weapon, boots and helmet.

Meanwhile one of my friends has opened maybe 5 more than me and has received boots, gloves, chest and helm, several other pieces and 4 more chest pieces, which he isn't happy about but I damn well wish I had received one.

So, it's a little silly, I will be Valour rank 60 before I finish my champion set.

Now imagine questing through the sotryline and multiple flashpoints as a trooper and watching 95% of the good drops be Jedi related. I hope you get as frustrated as the rest of the non-jedi in this game.

I got today another 2 barter items that i already have.

I think its kinda funny. Did Bioware wanted us to gear our companions with pvp gear also?. At least my companion has now 4 pieces because i already got them myself.

I havent seen mmo yet where you cant choose pvp gear and get it randomly for long grind ....
The Division Dev:
I will say this. Video games have a business side as well as the creative side. This is necessary to function and only time will tell what the future of the game is.

Yeah it is. It's really silly. Silly that the game hasn't even been out for 2 weeks and kids like you are crying about how "grindy" it is already.

I was pretty sure that the concept of what an MMO is would be well known by now, especially by so many people who claim to be experienced MMO gamers, yet complain endlessly about things that are well known and accepted about the genre.

Maybe Call of Duty is your game.

Valor rank 60 is when it's intended for you to start finishing your champion set as that is when you start getting champion commendations. You should not be full champion when you hit valor 60.

Let me explain how it works...

PvP Tier 1 - Centurion: This gear is obtained through commendations you get as rewards for PvP dailies & weeklies. Through gathering this Tier 1, you have a small chance at getting a few Tier 2 (Champion) pieces as well.

PvP Tier 2 - Champion: This gear is obtained through commendations you get as rewards for PvP dailies & weeklies @ level 60 valor. Through gathering this Tier 2, you have a small chance at getting a few Tier 3 (Battlemaster) pieces as well. Also, you can spend commendations to get Tier 3 ear pieces & implants.

PvP Tier 3 - Battlemaster: This gear is only going to be obtained by the most dedicated PvP'ers. It is the rarest set to obtain and will only be obtained through RNG and months of grinding. You may be valor rank 100 before you finish your Battlemaster tier.

^--- This system works, but it takes time just as most things should in an mmo-rpg. People just want instant gratification. MMORPG's & Instant gratification are almost polar opposites. The problem is, people will never buy into this system because they'll constantly whine & unsubscribe to the point where the game can no longer be developed further without catering to casuals and impatient people.

I know this will not quell anyone's rage over not being given everything in the few hours of play they can afford to spend due to them having such an important life where video games mean so little yet so much at the same time - but I think people who are complaining about the system need to see the bigger picture and realize that they are killing the game for the people who truly love the game. People who don't care about rewards and people who have put a lot of effort to get the rewards that they have - Those are the people these games are made for... Unfortunately, mmo-rpg's are morphed into something entirely different once all the selfish players start whining. And if they aren't morphed into something different, the people who truly love the game are left without a game to play - or at least left without future content for the game they love to play.

Complaining about the bag system isn't so much a "give me what I want now" scenario.. It's more of, me and my friend spent the same time PvPing, the same time winning and the same time losing. The problem is that even though we did the exact same thing, we are getting different rewards - and the difference can be substantial. Not only is this system demoralizing to a more unlucky player, but it is unfair in terms of time invested. Please fix the system.

Oh, this is what we mmo players call time sinks. Companies use them to get more cash from your in the long haul even if its just a month extra worth of time.

Since it's easy enough to see everyone here is new to mmo's in general.

Regards!, best of luck.

So I am hearing " I hate not being lucky" Damn man, you guys would hate to raid or do anything that has a drop. "Oh damn! This boss didn't drop the 0.001% mount the first time but my friend got it 2 times in a row!"

This is universally accepted for PvE because addtional item upgrades allows players to do more DPS or healing than you, or tank a little better than you. But that doesn't stop you from being competitive and being a part of the raid or flashpoint. Whereas, when you are fighting another player directly in PvP, gear plays a much greater and noticeable role in limiting how well you can compete.

Fighting AGAINST a player that has a gear advantage due to RNG = frustrating and upsetting. (PvP)

Fighting WITH a player that has a gear advantage due to RNG = frustrating, but is acceptable. (PvE)

Gear becomes much more noticeable and important when you are fighting a player, not a monster. Get real folks - there's a reason people dislike this system.

You are forgetting that PvE has many cut-offs for throughput on boss mechanics, ie DPS needs to dp X dps per player and Y hps per healer to survive or succeed. It isn't the comparison from player to player (except for the peen strokers) as much as it is increasing throughput to down the boss. The more gear a PvE'er gets, the faster the boss dies, or the more mistakes they are afforded throughout the fight.

Just like PvP. You can competently PvP at level 50 (with other 50's) with the blue PvP "starter" set. You will be come more proficient with the Centurion gear and be afforded "more mistakes." Yet again things will become easier and go more smoothly with Champion's Gear and finally you will be at the pinnacle (Nightmare) level with Battlemasters.

Good players will succeed regardless of gear level. Yes, abilities, amount of gear, use of stims, relics, and other buffs improves throughput, and makes you survive longer and hit harder. However, at level 50, the playing field should be balanced enough that a 50 in blue Expertise gear can compete against a 50 in Battlemaster gear.

Hope that makes sense.
