Using a luck system for things you are required to earn, is complete ********.

And I have been a hardcore defender of the game. This **** might actually get me to not re-sub though.

lol what? They're nearly the same.

+5 of a stat more or less per piece won't make a difference in pvp.

How is that possible? Assuming that he opened five bags and got five distinct pieces of Champion Gear, that would still be 1000 Merc and 1000 Warzone Commendations. Shouldn't that put you over 13?

You get 20 bags a week just from level 50 PvP dailies & weeklies - and once you hit valor 60, you start getting 16 battlemaster boxes with champion commendations in it a week (as well as 4 champion's bags).

Add in what you get from warzone + merc commendations, you should be getting more than one piece a week.

You guys are giving up after one day of farming... I've gotten probably 45 bags and maybe 10-12 champion tokens. You just gotta keep trucking away if you really want the champion pieces... The bag system is fine as is - it may even be too rewarding compared to the effort you have to go through to get columi pieces in PvE.

Expecting to be fully decked in the best gear available to you after the game has been out for 2 weeks is ridiculous. Start crying when it's patch time and you still aren't fully decked. This is an mmo-rpg, not a play it for two weeks and beat it then quit console game.

The gear is a bonus... Yes I think the system is a little messed up but you cant expect to be fully geared right away anyway. Also... Grow up and stop use the "But he has..." SOOO childish.

RNG or not, the system is just bad. Everything should be earned, with the RNG aspect giving you an extra token or something. The RNG aspect shouldn't grant you an item. You're just asking for unlucky people to never get gear, and for extremely lucky people to get completely geared out within a week.

The system is stupid and rewards luck. It is a bad system. GG.

I just talked to my friend, day 1 of being 50, and she's better geared than I am for PvP. I've been 50 and grinding out dailies/weeklies/PvP for 2 weeks worth of weeklies. Lol so bad.

This system is so completely fail. Sigh.

The effort going into obtaining these items is completing undermined by a luck-based, RNG system.

This is universally accepted for PvE because addtional item upgrades allows players to do more DPS or healing than you, or tank a little better than you. But that doesn't stop you from being competitive and being a part of the raid or flashpoint. Whereas, when you are fighting another player directly in PvP, gear plays a much greater and noticeable role in limiting how well you can compete.

Fighting AGAINST a player that has a gear advantage due to RNG = frustrating and upsetting. (PvP)

Fighting WITH a player that has a gear advantage due to RNG = frustrating, but is acceptable. (PvE)

Gear becomes much more noticeable and important when you are fighting a player, not a monster. Get real folks - there's a reason people dislike this system.
