But if you are having almost half the things you put up not selling, clearly they ARENT sellable items.

Sure you can put them up for sale, but unless they are actually selling whats the point?

The first time I looked at the GTN was at 50, I never felt under-geared wiith all the quest rewards I was getting and I imagine most people are in the same boat. To be honest even at 50 most of the items on there aren't worth while getting as PvP rewards and daily quests offer much better rewards than what I've been seeing on the GTN. That said I've bought and sold a few things on there so the economy is slow but not to bad at max level and sure it will get better once more people get to 50.

I'm level 31 and I just received 20 "no sale" reject mails and I'm getting sick of dealing with this.

1) I am not over pricing or even medium pricing, in fact whatever price pops up when I plug my item into the auction house I choose a figure at least 30% less than it - AT LEAST.
And I have a diversity of products - armoring, mods, random loots and grenades.

2) The 50 item limit is leaving me very little buffer room of the last 8 items I picked up questing with all the reject sales emails

3) How do you expect me to continue to advance cybertech skill when I have an arseload of wait time to just get rid of all the things in my cargo bay plus sell off all the stuff I pick up questing?
RE all the greens until you have blues, then make blues and RE them until you have purple. Then sell the purples and you shouldn't run into any problems.

Just a fyi because it is not clear in game. When you go to train your tradeskill if you talk to each trainer before choosing you get a codex entry. If you hit L for log and go across the bottom and click the codex you can then select crew skills. From there if you choose the skill that creates items (not gathers) at the bottom of the info page it will tell you what gathering skills sink well with it.

I know that isn't common sense but a lot of stuff you can learn in the game even about companions likes and dislikes for gifts is in the codex.

Personally I've only bought a few items on the GTN. As has been said, the UI for the GTN is awful. I wouldn't normally call myself the average player, but in this regard I think it fits perfectly. Bioware has made getting gear and mods easy. My characters buy new mods when they finish a planet, keeping gear that they have that I like. Which means the only times I've used the GTN for gear is only when I was FORCED to.

There is a few select Items that I have noticed you simply can't find upgrades often, or at least often enough for my tastes.

- Techblade for qwzyn, is nearly impossible to find. There is a few companion weapons that do not have orange versions for emblems I assume those sell well since there is no competition from the commendation vendors. I've bought 2 techblades off the GTN and as long as they are put up, I likely have to buy new ones whenever I see them up and he can use them.
- Implants, and ear pieces either have a significantly less drop rate since beta or I'm unlucky again. I've had to buy a few of those.
- Anything that has a terrible drop rate or quests don't supply often enough.

Obviously the blue/purple versions will sell better. People will feel less ripped off by buying a blue/orange instead of a green.

For the record, I have no issues selling purple items of any level I have put them on at (other than colour crystals, no one seems to want them....)

Personally I'm happy there is a cap. The GTN on Mind Trick already has clowns posting up 1 of each kind of crafting material x35. This is one really annoying thing brought over from WoW AH and I hope the cap helps do away with it.

Bravo GTN item cap!

im happy with the limit.

Why?

Because in years gone by, myself and a friend managed to single... ok dual handedly knacker the economy on an entire game server by buying out pretty much the entire auction house stock and then reselling at a level we felt was more appropriate, and we held it that way for several weeks till the devs implemented limits on players there.

We did it to demonstrate that the market wasn't working properly, and we made playing as a trader nigh on impossible for a lot of people as a result, whilst our bank roll's just got bigger and bigger.

Personally speaking, I don't want to see that kind of arbitrage messing about the economy in SWTOR. 2 or 3 people should not be able to dominate and dictate the market by virtue of owning all the products on it (including buying out and reselling other peoples gear) and in my opinion the 50 item limit is more than generous and currently still allows individuals to monopolize a lot.

Sorry, I know it sucks if you want to mass produce, but those are the breaks. It's harsh but it's a mechanism that protects your ability to trade at least as much as to the extent that it inhibits it. Scale down your operation, try not to flood the market with stuff that isnt selling, SLOW DOWN...

So because someone disagrees with you they are immediately ridiculous and you find their position 'incredible'.

Any chance of explaining how the limit is wrong? Simply because another game had a higher limit is not a good reason.
