I believe the ones who want wow with a SW skin aren't the players at all, but EA guys.

They want a game that is as fat a cow as wow, and the easy and probably the only way to do is to copy everything possible while adding a few things, since wow is filled with successful features (well, the majority of them) so not borrowing them isn't very smart.
Hard mode: Play Republic
Nightmare mode: Play Republic on a pvp server
Are you man enough for the challenge ? Aunt Satele wants YOU.

MMO Veteran is in fact someone who's played a lot of MMO's. As the most succesful and lasting MMO game out there is WoW, it's a fairly simple conclusion to assume that an MMO veteran has played a lot of WoW. It's always a fair assumption that they've played Guild Wars, Runescape, EVE Online, Rift, Age of Conan, etc. I've played all these, as well as most FPS games released in the past 18 years. I consider myself something of an expert when it comes to actually playing PC games.

But for the more simple MMO, they aren't that old, and hence an MMO veteran can be perceived as anyone who's played WoW for upwards of 3 years, plus and combination of 2 other MMO games.

This is a term invented by me to separate the 12 yr old kids who have played WoW since Cataclysm, from those with a critical eye.

Flame me all you want, but the truths the truth.

No, it's not, and IMHO anyone who thinks so is trying very hard to delude himself. There are a few very vocal complainers, and a few people who think the game's the best thing ever. There are also what I would guess are the vast majority of people, who sit somewhere in the middle: people who think the game is basically pretty good, but needs some work.

You can try to make this "us vs. them" all you want, but that won't make it true. All it does is set things up for a fight. Apparently you're after one. Those of us who'd like to see this game reach its potential mostly aren't, and fortunately I suspect there are a lot more of us than there are of you.

WoW set a precedent for content and what your game should have, if you can't even meet that then you have failed.

WoW not having good raids or bugs was FINE back in 2004 when it was basically the only MMO on the market. It's now 2012 and there's no excuse.
A few other mmos out at that time all were doing fine until about a year post wow launch aka 2005 one on the list actually still has a decent subscriber rate.

Ever Quest,Ever Quest II, FF XI, City of heroes, Eve online, star wars galaxies, Guild wars, DAoC. To name the major titles of the time. WOW was not alone it wasn't even big tell 2005, 2006.

No matter what I try, I just can't make heads or tails of your "sentence".

In other words: "Huh??"
You and me both, brother. My brain hurts after viewing these forums.

"Blizzard Entertainment announced World of Warcraft on September 2, 2001. The game was released on November 23, 2004"

Basically, it was huge 2 months after release, according to you.

The complaints won't stop tho. You will still see some of the same people QQing and you'll be asking, "If you don't like it why are you still paying for a subscription?"

You do realize that the person you quoted said 2005-2006, right? That's 12 months that WoW's player base had in which to grow.

There IS actually a group of people with a 3'rd point of view... Those are people who would LOVE for SW:TOR to improve and have it's bugs fixed. They enjoy the game, but recognize it's flaws.

Personally, i'm abit unsure. It seems there are quite many bugs and things that ought to be changed, and if there will be a low amount of subscribers, i can only wonder how long it'll take before it'll be done.

agree... they won't stop completely (because let's face it, MMO players are a whiny bunch of folks, in general), but they will decline substantially as those who were never really serious about the game to begin with run the clocks out on their free 30 days. These folks (who also appear to be the most negatively vocal) will be gone. Maybe they are so negatively vocal because they know they only have a limited period of time to toss sand in the forum gear box.
