More popular =/= better.

WoW got more subs, but got a worse playerbase out of the deal.

If I measured quality and success by sales numbers, I'd listen to pop music and eat nothing but McDonalds.

same server lfd would make both sides happy. so argue for that.

It baffles me that people can't understand this concept. In server LFG's would solve all of these issues and it wouldn't contain cross-server grouping. Everybody wins. Please BW, listen to this suggestion.

I'm sure WotLK sold all those copies entirely due to LFD. I also guess that the fairly large drop in subs shortly thereafter must have also been entirely due to the LFD...

As long as it's not an LFD queue, I'm fine with it.

A more expansive LFG system would be best.

I'm just fervently against a queuing system that forms groups for you and then teleports you to the dungeon.

That's what kills servers.

How? It's still the people from your server you just don't spend 40 minutes running to the dungeon.

The actual community part comes with playing with people. Playing with people you will never see again or be able to play with again isn't a community.

Again, this only applies to cross server LFD.

Also, I would NOT tie any progression incentives into the LFD tool.

I actually think that a same server LFG tool might hugely benefit the server community. There are lots of new MMO players here who perhaps aren't farmiliar or comfortable with grouping mechanics or MMO etiquet. I think it would help encourage outsiders to integrate better into the community.

None of that cross server or instant teleport turd though

What people don't understand is that they are arguing for a logistical hasstle. Having to spam LFG for 40 minutes and then run all the way to the dungeon is a pain in the rear end. Cutting out that logistical nonsense is irrelvant on "community" building.

There is no valid argument against LFD for TOR.

In WoW maybe, because you actually enter an instance in another location, but all the instance locations are pretty much on the star base. Why be against something if there is no actual social design involved.
