I fear that the forums are becoming more fun than the game is.

Paid trolls, the industry norm these days. It's actually been proven on several occasions, and with red faces all round as you can imagine. Pretty shameful stuff really, when you have to sink to such depths to try and throw off your competitors (says something about the games too).

In short, ignore the rage/whine/troll posts, 90% of it is just complete bull anyway.

Theoretical Question: Do haters FEAR the potiential influence of SWTOR?

Insightful Answer:
No, the people "hating" the game want it to be better so they can enjoy the game, and continue to do so in the far future.

Is that what you were looking for master?

Did you ever consider that many are sick of WoW and other MMO's and are completely disappointed and aghast at the horrible flaws in TOR?

The biggest problem for me is that there are simply TO MANY issues that BW will not fix fast enough, and this game will die as even the most patient of players loses patience with one of the very many issues it has right now.

Believe me I've seen it all before, many times.
You've seen it all before, many times in MMO's that were very grindy. Frustrating to the point of rage quit. Aion being one of them. No issues here are game braking for me. Sorry, but I do not share your views or concerns. And if I don't, there are probably thousands if not hundreds of thousands more that feel the same way. They don't need to post that here to agree with me. They can show you in game.

Firstly, I'm not a hater, I'm a traditional mmorpg player, but I like this game, but I think it will be not that popular in the months to come (at least if Bioware doesn't reconsider a lot of design choices they made) and it will be not that influential at all.

Yes the game is focused on story and character progression, but just for that reason is not a great move allowing people to reach level 50 that fast (a week), because you "finish the game" in that moment, the story ends and you have lost one player.

A mmorpg single player friendly like this is a good idea, BUT only if it is "single player friendly" without harming the multiplayer experience, because this is a multiplayer game and should be focused on that, being the "friendly" experience an extra.

I'm as tired of the ranters and whiners and rage quitters as anyone, but I honestly don't thin the intent is quite that devious. I think they started playing the game with little knowledge of what the game was actually about because they were bored with WoW or looking for whatever the new MMO is or whatever. So they came to the game with unrealistic expectations or signed up for a game that isn't the type of game they like to play, got frustrated that their unrealistic or incorrect expectations weren't met, and so they are venting on the forums while they are still able to post because it makes them "feel" better.

These guys are terrified that their snowflakes have melted before they even hit the ground; and for the most part they Indeed have.

Panic ensued and these same people took to the forums in an attempt to destroy the game by way of bad publicity. This is failing also. The rest of us meanwhile are reveling in our new game and just enjoying all that it has to offer. once the free month has passed and these guy head back to WoW you will see this game flourish with content and good times for all. The haters will be back in the Barrens talking about Chuck Norris' school of Panda studies.
This is 100% true ^^

Although I'm sure there are some legitimate complaints, the outright nastiness and fear-mongering of complaints, especially those centering on subscriber numbers, and going F2P and other such doom predictions wreak of players with ulterior motives.

I suspect the majority of such posters are WOW fanboys who are afraid of the next generation of MMOs which will render the 3000 hours they have dumped into WOW meaningless.
