Your not very bright are you?

Creative decision; they wanted to be able to light the sets way they wanted them to be seen, rather than have them changing depending on the time of day. You know, exactly the same way they do it in films. Which given BioWare essentially write interactive fiction, makes perfect sense.

Actually it's not even that complicated then - it's just two light sources. The most complicated thing is calculating where each one should be at a given time.

Which is irrelevant, because the reason there are no day/night cycles isn't technical, it's creative.

One, at least I would know when to use "your" and "you're", so if I'm not bright, what would that make you?

Two, if I am wrong about such things, show me. Most inhabited planets in the SW universe are Earth-like when it comes to their plant life.

I'm going to ask if your referring to Tatooine, because if so the First (4th) movie clearly showed both suns setting TOGETHER. I do not see how that is a coding issue to over come.

I'm just thinking from the coders perspective. to get the correct ratio since MMO clocks aren't 24 hour, it would be pointless to even bother with the coding to involve a day/night sequence for a planet like Tatooine.

Funny, according to Lore, Yoda is the only one of his kind, but I bumped into one on my Commando class quest who had a Brummie accent.

Then just code it for relevant planets. In almost every shot in the films Coruscant was under nightfall.
