I start off in the General Channel: DPS LFG Taral V

I spam the channel for a few mins and get another DPS to join, ok.

I flag myself with the super awesome LFG flag and make a note

I check the /who to see if anyone is LFG, 2 people with just "LFG" in the note and way under or over my level

I check my friends list, most people have either moved past it or can't/don't want to join

I asked in my guild, same situation as my friends list

I spam the channels some more, tried the Fleet and a few level appropriate planets

I spam the channels some more, other DPS get bored and leaves

I spam the channels some more, check the who list, ask in guild again.

I spam the channels some more

Is this the awesome tight friendly and fun community I am hearing so much about? Is this what it means to be social?

I ended up calling it quits after about an hour.
Sorry you have such poor experiences. For me completely the opposite. I maybe have to look for people for 15 minutes tops. Most groups are filled within a few minutes and normally a tank or healer from my guild will tag along.

That's probably the saddest thing I've heard all week. Maybe you should spend more time posting applications to actual IRL jobs and get out more.

Also this is a fighting game, not a dating sim.

Not only does he do that but he's proud of it. This is the funniest thing.

Bioware is holding back features like server forums, LFD, and mods in some righteous effort to make this game more pure than its competitor and it will backfire on them.

The example the OP provided is real. It happens. You can say "spam chat less" or "join a guild" or whatever you want, but it's time to get with the times and bring this MMO up to the basic standards that have been set.
Hey, I feel for you... I really do (not being sarcastic here). But you're just showing again that pro-LFG people only see two options. You have to have a tool to save you from spamming general... I get it. But what you don't get is that many of us don't want to see the game turned into a lobby game for free epic loots like WoW. It's one of the reasons I quit playing that game. I'm sort of on the fence for a same-server LFG tool, but DEFINITELY opposed to anything cross-server.

Rofl, yes, go out of your way to harass the whole server, that's a fun way to spend the next 2 hours.

You sir just raised the bar as far as anti-LFD tool apologists go.

On another note, can't wait til they implement a real LFD tool.

Actually, it's an RPG. And you're just gonna make me cry if you keep claiming to be so superior with all your IRL stuff. I mean really... I feel so blessed that you put a pause on all that real life goodness to come in here and grace us all with your immense presence.
