DPS having trouble finding a group?

Shocking.

Seriously. Stop the presses.

Well, if they implement a dungeon finder in the game, everyone will kind of have to use it. But I don't really care I still want them to get a dungeon finder in the game but I doubt it will happen.
The SWTOR forums are more fun than the actual game...That says a lot.

I just feel there is too much to do, to be running around the fleet all day LFG.
This. City of Heroes had the Help channel which all characters had on by default, and it communicated to the entire server. People used it as a LFG channel to great effect. This game needs one of those.

Because everyone doesn't win when the game gets turned into a lobby game with everyone sitting around waiting for their instance to pop so they can run in with 4 random players and steamroll their loot pinata for their free epix.

That's what WoW is, and I will never play that game again. I don't want that to happen here.

So it's much better for everyone to sit around waiting for their /1 spam to work and get invited to a group. Then do the instance with three other random people who also spammed /1 to get the group together.

Then steamroll the mission and get their free loot and never see each-other again.

That's so much better. Anti-LFG spazzes are just in denial, the current situation is the EXACT SAME THING as it would be with LFG tool except the /1 chat wouldn't be spammed so much.

Also the lack of a LFG is harming the 'social' carebear aspect anyway. You could be having some fun conversations over /1 when suddenly the entire thing vanishes beneath a tidal wave of 'herp derp lfg at derp'. Explain away that hippies.

Again... Thats the only two choices you people see.

1. GIVE ME MY LFG TOOL!!! LOBBY GAMEZ RULE!

or...

2. SPAM /1!!!

That is why you fail.

Get wrong more. The only way now to 'make friends' and crap is to first get into a group with them which requires for you to spam /1 to get the group in the first place. Unless you joined one of those terrible guilds that ALSO spams /1 and invites anyone with a pulse.

Guess what, in WoW you can make a group from only your server and run dungeons if you want.

For the rest of us, LFD tools provide a way to do dungeon runs and actually play the game instead of spamming chat.

To intentionally hold back a feature like that if just pure failure on Bioware's part.

Bioware is holding back features like server forums, LFD, and mods in some righteous effort to make this game more pure than its competitor and it will backfire on them.

The example the OP provided is real. It happens. You can say "spam chat less" or "join a guild" or whatever you want, but it's time to get with the times and bring this MMO up to the basic standards that have been set.

Really... that's the only way, eh? Because I actually managed to make several friends in a guild before the game even launched. Had to apply, though... I'm guessing you're one of those people who would get rejected if they could even manage to put together a decent app.

lol
