Here was my super "fun" experience trying to get a FP going tonight

I start off in the General Channel: DPS LFG Taral V

I spam the channel for a few mins and get another DPS to join, ok.

I flag myself with the super awesome LFG flag and make a note

I check the /who to see if anyone is LFG, 2 people with just "LFG" in the note and way under or over my level

I check my friends list, most people have either moved past it or can't/don't want to join

I asked in my guild, same situation as my friends list

I spam the channels some more, tried the Fleet and a few level appropriate planets

I spam the channels some more, other DPS get bored and leaves

I spam the channels some more, check the who list, ask in guild again.

I spam the channels some more

Is this the awesome tight friendly and fun community I am hearing so much about? Is this what it means to be social?

I ended up calling it quits after about an hour.

Can you explain how this is a clear indication of Bioware's intent?

Intent means they purposefully intended for you to have an experience where other players didn't match you in levels or interest. You are stating that the company intentionally worked on Flashpoints and then took steps intended to make it impossible for you to group up in whatever span of time you are describing.

Maybe your feedback would come across more clearly if you addressed it as the system clearly not working as intended, as it is difficult to make groups with the current system due to both the speed of leveling and the limited level range of enjoyment for each Flashpoint.

I just do a /who search for the entire server playerbase within the level range (type 30-34) and start asking politely. never taken me more than 15 min to get a group together. Emphasis on politely though. use excuse me and apologize if they say no. gained tons of friends this way. that is how you build a community.

You do realize Taral V is really bugges atm and practically impossible to do the last boss on level?

So far ive been in 3 Pugs, 20+ wipes, 34K repair bill.

No wonder noone wants to do it.
The Force will be with you, always.

I haven't done a flashpoint since Athiss. That was like a few days after official launch. I haven't been able to find a group for anything since then. No FP's, no group quests, nothing.

I play on a full server. Good times.

They really need a global LFG channel. I have done very few FPs, and most of them I just soloed to see what they were like, well after my level had exceeded the FP. Today for instance, I joined a group and did boarding party with my lvl 50 SI.

I just feel there is too much to do, to be running around the fleet all day LFG.

Ill just slide this in from my other topic

I'm looking for a lfg tool like the one in old EQ2 .. The current one bioware has is fail

If you forgot what the old tool was (cause they replaced it pretty much with a dungeon finder now) it looked like this http://www.everquest2.com/images/en/...LFG_Window.jpg

Basicly you could pick your roll, what you was looking for and hit looking for group. Then people could see what you wanted to do and grab you. YOU STILL HAD TO WALK/FLIGHT POINT TO THE AREA IF YOU WAS DOING A DUNGEON thought to make this big and fancy to make sure people don't get confused.

Bioware this is what I want from a lfg tool .. I don't care if we ever get the silver platter handed to use with a dungeon tool that ports us right to where we need to be. I just for the love of god want a better lfg tool.
