I find this statement hilarious because you're trying to say in another thread how everyone agrees with you.

On topic: This is an MMO. No amount of denial will change that.

Deal.

With.

It.

Just because a game supports an internet connection; does not mean it is an MMO

By that logic, Modern Warfare 3 is an MMO

The day they make this a Free to Play game is the day I stop playing it, F2P games in the end cost far far more in alot shorter time to people, because generally to get anywhere in end game content you have to buy gear and mounts and crap, I hate those types of games, this game is fine as is, get over it and enjoy it, I dont give a rats arse that most things are just paths to each thing, I could care less

infact how much of all that open game in WoW have you ever played in? hmm? this game feels just as large if not larger then WoW and i've played wow for nearly 7 years, i've tried all the so called "wow killers" and so far this one seems to be the only one with a punch, yes it's got bugs but so does WoW and it's been running 7 years, swtor has been out what 11 days? give it time, even if zones dont open up more i could less i'm not here to play a game that takes 2 hours to reach one side of a zone to another, i'm here for a good time, stories, and to meet cool people

so Thank you Bioware for an awesome game!

Wow...that was such a blatant use of the Association Fallacy it gave me a headache. Since you're too simple to understand it I'll spell it out for you.

Star Wars: The Old Republic contains:

1. Open worlds
2. The ability to group with multiple players
3. Massive numbers of players per server (3000+)
4. Roleplaying a character you progress along a storyline

Modern Warfare 3 contains:

1. A restrictive lobby
2. Matchmaking
3. 16 players per server
4. Non persistent, small game worlds

Now I'm aware at this point you're pretty much being a troll and that I fell for it by responding, but making you look foolish with facts is worth taking the bait.

Exaggeration. When you go from one planet to another, there are two loading screens: when you get on your ship and when you get off your ship. You classify the screen going black and coming back up instantly to you in your hanger as a loading screen? O.o Also, when you click your destination on the galactic map, there's no loading screen. The view out of the cockpit changes to hyperspace, briefly, but you can still walk to the door and leave your ship.

- Of course you need a personal ship to travel to planets. But I would give it just one loading screen when it jump sfrom planet to planet, and then, once at the "planet space" I would have the ship coming into the hangar and you'd be free to move out and go anywhere with no further loading screens, kind of like SWG. If I were a director at BIOWARE I'd be saying (1) remove all loading screens except ship hyperspace jumps (2) open out the planet maps, allow travelling in any direction where possible, get rid of Coruscant and Nar Shadaa.

- Yes WoW has one loading screen when ships cross the sea, I did say that, it would be the equivalent of jumping to another planet. SWTOR has a few more on either side of the jump.

- Yes there are other issues, combat, class balance etc but I will ignore all those as "normal" and ever evolving. Blizzard has changed class mechanics more often than I can remember. Sometimes deservingly and sometimes just because players moaned. It is an evolution and totally expected.

- A good story line (which it is) does not make an MMO. Of course some people think, "it's got co-op, it's got PvP - therefore it's an MMO". I fully agree. But it does not feel more an MMO than COD Multiplayer feels (exaggerating a bit for effect).

COD has a full story you can play, it has some RPG and of course oodles of PvP. Would they charge a monthly subscription for it? I think not.

When it comes to MMO-ness, I would say (and get flamed) SWTOR is a hybrid between an advanced COD and a poor WOW. I feel it is not MMO enough to justify a monthly subscription. It should be free to connect to the servers just like Diablo, COD, Black Ops etc.

OP: If they DID change the description of their game to "Single Player" - would you play the game? Would that make any difference to those that do not like that style anyways? The game is what it is - like other games, some will enjoy it and some will not.

As for being FTP... that is not the company's business model. Why change it to something that they have already determined to be less profitable?

On Modern Warfare 3:
1) The Horde Fleet is basically a lobby for level 50s
2) SWTOR has matchmaking, it's just called screaming "LFM XYZ" in chat
3) Hilarious point — the "large" Raid Size in SWTOR is... 16 players
4) SWTOR's worlds are small, and chopped up
