Never seen a valid argument against the LFD

I have seen people posting for and against the LFD but I have never really seen any rational argument against it.

Argument:

LFD killed the WoW community and before the LFD there was a great solid community.

umm, what WoW did you play? The WoW community was full of ninja looters, cry babies, and general jerks long before the LFD was ever invented

Argument:

LFD killed guilds.

Guild ranks is what hurt guilds, the LFD made people want to group with the guild first and use the LFD only if they had to. If anything it made guilds stronger.

Argument:

Looking for people in trade channels builds friendships and a better community

umm, what? spamming a channel is spamming a channel and nothing more. Remember the LFD tries to group you with people on your own server first in WoW, giving you more chances to meet people then spamming a channel ever could.

I have never seen a valid reason against the LFD, all I have seen are people remembering something that never actually excited, this super tight server community in WoW.

I've never seen a valid argument against LFD, either

It seems to be mostly people that just hate anything related the the Warcraft IP, and Blizzard Entertainment; and/or people that think it's a Developer's job to help them make friends on the internet

I think its fun watching people take sides so fast we couldn't even pick a captain for each,

This issue should be settled via a dodgeball match within bioware?

You probably never saw the sort of community it made since you never actually played wow before lfd. Or when leveling guilds existed for something other than to sit in for buffs. The server communities tend to be a lot tighter on PvP servers where world PvP is prominent.

I played WoW from 2005-2011, and I can promise you that LFD didn't hurt the community

I've played WoW since release and yes, LFD tool had a MAJOR effect on the server community. Not the people on forums or the wealth of poor players you seem to be stuck with from time to time. I mean your SERVER. The people you chat in trade with. Honestly, I think LFD made chat WORSE because at least you had to interact with people from trade chat more often. LFD meant the only time you interacted with people not in guild was in trade chat.

A server is your true community. If we could have bigger servers with higher populations where people could interact outside of a flashpoint, that would be great, but as it is I'd rather spam in trade for an hour and find people I know instead of sit in a queue for 20 minutes to play with people I don't.
