And because the fix is so simple it's comical

Patch notes:
  • Level 50s have the option of joining a 50 only que with slightly better rewards then the normal que
  • A general que is also present and level 50s are welcome to join, however "expertise" found on gear will have no effect in this que
  • Sorcerer damage is now kentic

OMG I fixed PVP.

It isn't the state of the game that unforgivable, it's the lack of willingness to make a single change.

Like i've said many times Maybe bioware does not intend to change anything about PVP, and maybe they like it exactly the way it is.

Its star wars, people will buy it, sub it and have many sub reasons for playing it because the universe is awesome.

Stop coming back here if your not going to play the game, Its a waste of your own time and ours.

It's not fair for a new player to go up against a level 50 in full expertise gear. The bolster system does not create expertise for everyone (I say this as a level 5 healer with 250 expertise... I love being teamed up with level 15s to heal lol).

Aside from that I only got to beta in June and there was only level 20 pvp gear in the vendor and none of the open world places (Ilum and Outlaw's Den) were even built into those zones yet.

PVP is an afterthought for this game AND if you've been watching the trends of MMOs with AOC > WAR > Aion > Rift you'll see the PVPers leave in the first month to three months. Anyone who's been watching the MMO pops would see this but it still boggles the mind why companies seem oblivious to it.

Actually. They want out fast box sales but they don't plan on keeping us. PVPers are impulse buyers but if they'd provide a solid pvp product they'd get concurrent revenue.

tl;dr this game should have launched without PVP and they should have done a patch/expansion when they were ready to add it right... not hurridly slap something together which seems apparent by the millions of various tokens (of which only warzones tokens are reasonably attainable.. i.e. you do this activity that you always have access to and get x token).
I agree to a point, but I still would like something interesting in the form of a warzone.

They do need to fix up pvp fast, while at first I didnt mind being thrown in with everyone, now I am starting to see the difference between levels. It cant be good to attract new players by crushing them with level 50s everywhere. And remember we dont want just existing pvpers, we want new ones to expand our experiences too.

Thing is that ppl only think that the only issues are the issues they are having. in beta the game was still in development, no mmo is actually ready when released. Thats why u should give it some time cause it will get better

You know...I kinda like this idea

Although... LEAVE MY SORCERER DAMAGE ALONE! *Fries you with lightning*

But seriously, I haven't seen anything that says they're unwilling to fix this. The thing is, they couldn't have started the game with level 50 brackets because there wouldn't be enough people playing, and they couldn't have said no to expertise ratings because really...imagine how much whining there'd be if people worked for that gear and then ended up having one of the stats on it non-functional?

I'm sure we'll see some fixes soon. Just give it time. Remember there's 8 different storylines to explore until then, not to mention the stories on each planet.

Your right, but the A.D.D generation needs it fixed back in beta and Story? Pfft that requires a even deeper attention span.

I enjoy all aspects of the game, questing, raiding and PVP. It's the PVP that leaves such a bad taste... I am not in a hurry to get to 50 I usually enjoy my progression to the level cap. I find I usually get bored of end game, doing the same thing over and over and over....

So I want to take my time to get to 50 and try and enjoy all of it. I cannot enjoy PVP the way this is...

PPL say just give e few months and come back it will be better. I would hope they have a few things fixed but in the mean time you don't think the current 50's are going to keep ****** and getting better and better gear?

I bought the game for all aspects and the PVP makes me so frustrated. All I want is an even fair game. I don't care if I win or lose as long as it's fair. Fair = Good Game = FUN.

Being ***** match after match and accelerating the 50's progression is PVP crazy.

I enjoy pvp and usually enjoy open world PVP more that matches.

I'm sorry I'm married with kids and a full time job. I'm not going to race to 50 just to level the PVP field. Can't enjoy the game rushing to cap IMO.

With any business they are after making money. If you cancel they will really consider the problem and find a solution. The first step is them acknowledging they have a problem and explain some plans as the solution. But they are not commenting and never have to my knowledge and it’s been brought up as problems since Alpha/Beta so don’t give the excuse it was just released....

Shadow your right, but I cannot remember the last time in history War was fair, PVP is a emulation of player vs player conflict, no matter how balanced things are I fail to see any instance of it ever being "Fair".

But the thing is, if you look at every other game it has similar problems.

WoW for example; You could join a pvp map at the lowest possible level and have no chance against the people 10 levels above you. Or, even worse, you could be playing in a pvp game where one side was completely twinked and you had no chance anyway.

I remember very specifically on WoW when I played with the new characters I made after hitting the level cap with my main that if I didn't go and buy them the best gear that I could find, and didn't go in at the highest level, that I had little chance against some opponents. I've PvP'ed for years, I don't think it was a lack of skill causing it (I hope), it's just that they're twinked to god-like proportions.

LotR:O is just plain horrible. To even have a chance you need to have the best gear, and you need to have spent hours upon hours filling in your traits just to have a chance on the PvP front. And even then, because it's a type of world PvP, you're relying on not fighting 2:1 (or higher) odds. Btw, I love LotR:O, but there's no way I'd spend gazillions of hours just so I could even partake in PvP.

When we have a healthy population of higher levels in the game and they do brackets then we'll see a huge improvement. At the moment we have a choice of alienating those people that have burned ahead and reached 50 or just putting up with it until the population spread enables us to have brackets.

As for the lack of comment... Many MANY MMO's have been terrible at the beginning with their customer service and community involvement. I must admit...I'd liked it to have been different with this game...but I can kinda see why they're keeping quiet; Lets be honest here, if you look on the forum, it doesn't matter what they do - they're going to get flamed no matter what they say or don't say. If they came out tomorrow and said "We're going to put all our resources into fixing the PvP issue" there'd be uproar from the rest of the community that they weren't focusing on other fixes. It'd be the same whatever they announced. I wouldn't be suprised if we say a huge improvement in communication a couple of months down the line when they've ironed out a lot of the bugs and done some work on the pvp and crafting system, given rewards for world pvp..etc. The community will be more cohesive then, rather than them getting flamed from all angles.

I mean, you only have to look at what happened with the pre-order. They told us they'd give us up to 5 days pre-order. Some people ended up getting 7, yet EVERYONE who ordered before the 5 days period got atleast 4 days pre-order. I don't know of any other game that's done that recently...or...at all actually. Yet they got flamed like anyone's business.

Cancelled not just because of 50s ability lag to.
