It's not screen tearing, sorry. It's an odd graphical effect. Happened to me in Beta on a Radeon HD 5570, and it happens now on my three GTX 580s. It wouldn't be so bad if it were isolated to that one area, but it's not.

I'm running a GTX 580 1.5Gb, with the latest drivers, and it's still present. I filed a ticket on this during the last beta, and again when the game opened up for early access. The "laser light show" effect is odd, but doesn't cause undue interference. Hopefully, they will fix it soon.

I appreciate the advice however it is not a heat issue. I personally removed the bottom cover of my laptop a while back and replaced the stock paste on the cpu and gpu with arctic silver. The temps dropped by 20 degrees at that time. I also have the laptop sitting on a pad fitted with two fans. This does not happen in any other game I play. It is a bug.
