Warhammer Online was good in concept and on paper, however anyone who actually played the Beta knew the game was going to be bland garbage where nothing was as-promised. Least Bioware didn't promise much and what they did promise they delivered on spectacularly.

Star Wars Galaxies indeed did exactly that. TOR though, TOR is bananas!

I just happened to pick up on it faster in SWTOR.
Well its mostly because I see an epic game, but with limited playtime during the week when I work a lot, that gives me time to check the forums for a few before I go to bed.

Now I like checking the forums, because I see it full of so many trolls who have multiple accounts, and are making BS thread titles to create an impression that this new game that is competition to WoW, is failing as well.

The problem in this case, is that SWTOR is NOT failing, its doing extremely well.

The Posts that the Trolls are creating this time, are completely out of line with the reaction from the public. SWTOR is skyrocketing in sales and appeal, and is almost definitely a sure thing as far as future sales go.

What we have here, are a few paid trolls who are doing their job just as Activision has paid them to do.

WoW is a leaking balloon. It is slowly leaking away all of its hot air, and soon it will be entirely deflated and flat. SWTOR is the new big thing, enjoy the ride friends, this is the next big game making history

Warhammer's problems were deeper than it being bland. The story line driving the questing experience fell apart, which amplified the linear questing experience, making leveling a chore. Faction imbalances and PVE doors ruined world RVR. The end-game was broken and not fixed until...well, ever.

After about 1.5 years of polish, some of this was addressed. But it was too little too late.

But "bland" isn't a word I'd use for Warhammer.

As per how it relates to SWTOR, this game is launching with a solid questing and leveling experience, which is crucial to keeping casuals. Also, even though there are bugs in end game, it's at least playable.

A little bit of patching, and Bioware has a beast on their hands.

The best way I can describe Warhammer is "Loved the starting zones, public quests were cool, enter second zone, immediately reroll because it sucks"

So after years of playing a game that you loved but tended to be the same thing your saying you love playing a new game and therefor the other game is now nowhere as good as the new game where you have tons of fun. For now.

This game is great in so many ways but its okay to like more than one thing at a time. Its okay for others to enjoy other games. If these flavor of the month comments keep it will lead to SWTOR downfall quicker than wows. These are two different games and offer two different playing experiences. Enjoy them or whatever other game you love.

Intelligent people judge a game based on it's quality, not based on how many mindless lemmings who got told by a friend of a friend of a friend to buy it jumped on board for a month, or two, or three.

Swtor is definitely not a horrible game, but it's missing alot of very BASIC features which have become a standard in the mmo community as quality of life improvements, also there's very few ways to play through the game as far as avenues of leveling go, you pretty much have to play through all the same crap and break your spacebar doing so for any characters past the first on all but the class story missions.

pvp isn't a viable alternative way to level
space combat isn't a viable alternative way to level (since they nerfed the **** out of its xp yields in beta outside of daily quests).
