Nightmares Everywhere!

 

Well hello there forum people.

 

Since TOR is down, I had time to do some reading of the forums and think up my own little ideas.

I come here to discuss the Flashpoints.

 

As anyone who is geared at least to full Columi will know, there is not a lot of incentive to go back and do HM Flashpoints, apart from a few crafting materials.

 

What I propose would be a way to go and bring these people's attention back to these done and dusted flashpoints.

 

So what incentive would be enough to get these people to do them again?

 

What about.....

 

Specialised buffs that can help when doing operations? Yes please.

 

I was thinking make a Nightmare difficulty mode for the flashpoints for 8/16man groups. That when completed give a special buff specific to that flashpoint to the group that lasts for a couple of hours. ( plus some other physical reward ( fp specific cars would be awesome ) )

 

For example:

 

Flashpoint: Black Talon

Buff: Yadira's Defeat

Effect: +5% Crit Chance

( Or something similar. Made that up on the spot. )

 

ETC for different flashpoints. Having different buffs for the different flashpoints would also mean that players would have to pick and choose which FP('s) to do based on what would be best for their group.

 

Let me know what you think down below.

I think this is a decent idea. But you never stated if it was temporary or permanent, honestly I dont want people running around a pvp after they get done a FP and have +5% crit or +3% endurance because that slightest bit of endurance can make you perform a lot better. Plus I think BW tried to do this in giving class buffs so I dont think it will happen,

I had opened another thread saying give us things in FPs and HMs and SM ops that we can decorate our hangars and ships :/

I did say it was temporary, only an hour or two, you musta missed that.

kaon drops speeder, li drops pets, and u can still gear up your companions with columi with hmfps. when u have a character in full columi with columi on all your comps, then u prolly wanna do hmops or start a new character.

 

 

i do like the idea of more buffs though... who wouldnt?

I'm not sure how I feel about the rewards, but I def. agree with the OP. There needs to be some sort of incentive to return to these HM FP's Could a nightmare mode perhaps drop rakata gear? Be a great way for people who don't have enough people for an OPS to still get their rakata gear.

I think the Daily Quest that involves a random HM via the Group Finder and gives Black Hole comms is quite enough of an incentive for me to do them. I'll probably do one most days once that is in place. Buffs, etc., don't really work for me - I think they will be too much of a balance issue to be worth it. Vanity items are always nice, though.

 

As for Nightmare Modes of Flashpoints - I'd love them just so long as they were suitably evil (i.e., require mostly-Rakata and can't just be facerolled in Columi.)
