I tried multiple times to heal my companion tanking and wittle away jadus's daughter with no luck, in the end i had to pull out Jared (is that is name? i'm really tired right now and don't remember, the melee dps companion) and just nuke the crap out of her before we both died to the aoe.

Question thats a bit off topic, but doesn't really warrent its own thread either.

After those quests (i went the other way, sided with jadus and killed his daughter), is there a movie cut scene that explains anything about the "time off" period you had or is it just a fill in the blanks part of the story?

Wondering mostly because i stopped for the night right after picking up the next set of quests, and it seems like we are at open war with the republic, but i'm not sure when that escalated.

Wait a min, am I missing something? I thought he died in the shuttle? I didnt have to fight him and im almost 20.

This is why you DON'T get into these threads :p

Anyway, i beat him with Vector, myself tanking and selfhealing... selfhealing ALOT and interrupting as much as possible. It's a very tough fight. I was with concealment spec, but all i did was interrupt and selfheal with the ocasional shiv, he hits like a truck. Don't let your companions tank him, they die before you can say "Kolto Injection!!"

How the hell do you defeat him, kaliyo cant tank since he uses that whirlwind cc all the time. I get him to like 30% then he gets me.

I fought him when I was 33, not sure what level you where. I used kaliyo as I feel she works better with the engineering tree as she can set off cluster bombs where vector won't.

This fight seems like a test of everything you have learned up to this point. You need to use stuns and your instant cast ability that causes him to cancel casting (forget the name and am at work right now) to win this fight but if you do that it's not that hard. If you have been ignoring upgrading your companions gear you might have issues to.

Did you do all the solo quests on Alderian? I felt a couple of the last solo instances where you had to kill some elites were much tougher fights, at least for me. If you use yours stuns Jadus doesn't do that much damage, the last couple instances on Alderian they put out a lot of damage even with them.

As a Sniper (barely 32), this was very hard for me. I was there with Vector (who was trapped by CC most of the time anyhow), but I surmise that Kaliyo might be slightly more useful in this fight.

Thing is: if you try to use cover mechanics, you're pretty much busted. Jadus is on you faster than you can shoot a Womp Rat, frying your pretty behind.

I eventually prevailed by kiting him around the room, mostly just using the basic shots (as a Sniper with ranged specialisation, this is pretty much the only thing you can do). Once in a while I dropped into cover for a fraction of a second (to activate my instant Snipe, followed by a Follow Through). All the while

a) hiding behind consoles to break his line of sight and

b) interrupting his spells.

Oh,

c) rooting him can come in handy, too.

And

d) Shielding/self-healing as much as possible (self-healing was limited to a medpac and the Advanced Recon Drone in one segment of the fights).

All in all, still a very hard fight for me to solo with my spec, but very rewarding when I finally had managed it.

Final note: If you choose to restart at the Entry Point, all enemies will be up again (you will have to clear them out around the bridge in order to kite Jadus).

Happy hunting!

I just had this fight 30 minutes ago, he kicked my *** a few times, then I had the pleasure of kicking his *** a few times :p

Best thing to do is to run around, and kite him some while your companion keeps hitting him. use the computer terminals to hide and run like a little girl:P

When your interrupts are up use them, shoot him some and run again ...

Did it last night as a level 32 agent spec heal. The first one was pretty tough, he hits likes a truck and kaliyo barely survived.

Then I somehow managed to pass the first fight and then it was pretty much easy with the hots and letting Kaliyo do everything. you're just here to stun and interupt.

It was pretty easy, although it requires someone playing quite well without a target's target's thingy.

I just finished the fight 30 minutes ago. Sniper lvl 30, it was very hard (I died at least 10 times). As stated before you really have to use your interrupts. Most of his damage comes from casting.

Haha, that's hilarious, because I beat him 30 minutes ago too(And reserved my first choice of Legacy Name- Solus :D ).

I died about five times throughout all those fights. The thing that I learned is exactly what others have said. His blue bar starts filling up slowly, use an interrupt cause that one ability is going to take off half your health. You have 3(4?) interrupt abilities, make sure to spread them out through each fight. Also, be sure to carry a few Trauma packs, those helped immensely when we were both down to sub 10% health, I pop one and suddenly I have enough health to defeat him. Also, remember that you have a heal ability, albeit a annoying one. Advanced Recon, the ability you can only use with a companion, heals you for 3% of max health every 3s for about a minute, and as long as you use it before your health gets too low, it works wonders in a long fight.

he was ... ehem pathetic? well im operative but i only died once when was trying to heal my companion .. then just kited him slow and los when he is about to finish his nuke...

Honestly said he was easier from phase to phase as he just got bigger hits with bigger cast time so easier to avoid.

truth is kaliyo is a terrible tank, and that we don't get any other tank companion

She's best as a sniper not used as a tank, turn on her aggressive mode to make full use of her and she rocks.

Vector in either of his stances is quite good as well although he doesn't hold aggro at all, but in this particular fight it doesnt seem to matter

As a lethality specced Operative, I kited him around the room between the consoles while Vector wailed on him from behind.. whenever my stun was up i'd get in close and burst as much damage as I could before resuming my running away :)

Wasn't too hard, but it was a trial and error thing till it worked
