Azzataky
Howdy forum dwellers, there is a lot of people sick of this "premades ruin my fun" thing going on. I was asking myself how we could help it? Well I think that guides are only way to improve this issue. If those people won't choose to read those guides and will keep whining about premades, let them, its theirs fault they don't do anything to get better and expecting to beat people who are getting better and better is impossible task for those who don't. Maybe one day they'll get it. Hopefuly there will be those who will read some guides and get better. So I encourage everyone to post guides you know on these forums, twitch, youtube or anywhere else. Of course try to check if those guides are not posted here yet. I know a few so there they are: http://www.noxxic.com/swtor - can give you some example of what stats you should aim for, equipment or talent trees, also you can find there something about UI, binds etc. - some people find this website not so accurate and with bad information so take it lightly, it should server only as an example of possible specs or stat priority http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=358815 - ** New Player's Guide to PvP ** http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=635414&highlight=bolster - Bolster guide http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=54647 - Huttball guide http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=427695&highlight=pvp+guide - Short PvP guide which in my opinion covers the basics only, still good to read for new players or those who complain about premades etc. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=630047&highlight=pvp+guide - Another short basics guide which covers gear, stims, augments, medpacs etc. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=283474&highlight=pvp+guide - Fun guide called It's not me! It's you! A guide to SWTOR PVP which should be read mainly by those who think its others who are the issue in PvP and not themselfs or those who like funny topics For class guides I've found http://www.ezpvper.com/ which has guides on youtube on channel VulgarBroadcasting. Might have same issue as noxxic and it is not so accurate since it is for patch 2.4. Also they don't have guides for all classes. There are some other class guides I've found on forums here and seemed interesting to me: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=682467&highlight=pvp+guide - Kev's PVP Tanking Guide http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=647540&highlight=pvp+guide - Vigiliance Guradian / Vengeance Jugg PVP Spec, Rotation and Gear Guide http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=390843&highlight=pvp+guide - Sang's Operative PvP Healing Guide http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=695170 - Megapt's Advanced Prototype PvP Guide - Multiple Rotations, CD Management, different Gearing Setup http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=701510&highlight=pvp+guide - Koozie's Powertech PvP Pyrotech Guide Also note that guides are usualy for older patches so don't take everything as it is there are some things that might be changed more or less these days. P.S. Don't forget that all classes have mirror classes on other side. You would just have to figure out which skills are which with your mirror class. http://swtor.wikia.com/ or http://www.torhead.com might be of help with that. Also if you guys know any better guides / websites don't by shy and post them here. Edited January 8, 2014 by Azzataky update

Rilok_Singz
There are plenty of threads, guides, vids, and streams on how to be better at pvp. You might have a handful people that climb from the rank of bad and actually become a factor; then before you know it actually good- However for the mass majority, they stick to the old saying - baddies will be bad. Seriously with all the qq about premades, I am starting to want bioware to hand the scrubs what they want just so they can find another excuse as to why they are bad. Well what you say is just to give up, since I don't do it in PvP either I don't want to do it in this. I noticed in warzones that sometimes if you try to give advice to the team or suggest a strategy sometimes ppl just try harder after that even if they don't listen to your suggestion they get theirs own or try something else. Sure, sometimes they don't care at all and they ignore you, but sometimes not. Giving up won't bring any help, trying to somehow help those players to get better might. They think those who beat them are "cheating" somehow and not just better, but those better players (some of them) think that those bads will be just bads. But everyone was a badie one day. Joesixxpack
Very thoughtful of you to post a compilation OP. This is the reason this attempt at bettering the bads is likely to fail http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect Combined with ^ this ^ they'll have plenty of knowledge to do well and have fun. Hopefully they'll survive the self-realization. Edited January 8, 2014 by Joesixxpack
Gnoblesse
Nice idea, but I'd recommend taking out the Noxxic link. Too much incorrect information there.
Lotharofxev
Bads don't care. Seriously. They do bad things because even after being yelled at (or told), they make the same stupid mistakes they've been making since level 10. Guard a node? F-THAT ! I'm hitting that guy just standing there doing a wierd animation. Protect a healer? F-THAT ! I got to rack up my DPS. Die? F-THAT! Lousy team. And crappy healer. Call inc? F-THAT! I got to take on these three stealthies myself.
cycao
Nice idea, but I'd recommend taking out the Noxxic link. Too much incorrect information there. Yeah but it's a somewhat ok place to look if you don't have a clue to at least figure out very basic builds and stat priority. It should be used for that and only that. It should be used for that and only that. I would agree with you if it weren't for the fact that their sorc and sage PvP healing builds both go all the way up the healing tree to the AoE heal but don't actually take the heal. (They're not trying for a hybrid build, either...there are 36 points in healing.) That's not something I'd recommend as even a basic build. I noticed in warzones that sometimes if you try to give advice to the team or suggest a strategy sometimes ppl just try harder after that even if they don't listen to your suggestion they get theirs own or try something else. Sure, sometimes they don't care at all and they ignore you, but sometimes not. Giving up won't bring any help, trying to somehow help those players to get better might. story 1: In HG I saw some idiot trying to go to the other teams side, I asked nicely for him to not go because he will just feed them kills (I even said please) and his answer was "we'll see". I even pmed him asking him not to. His stupidity pretty much killed any chance of me going over to sap cap or kill cap so I had to stay in mid the entire time. In the end we lost by around 20-30 points and the idiot had 10 deaths (#1 on our list). story 2: I saw someone had garbage expertise and I told him to talk to me after the battle, I can help him get full expertise (I didn't say anything mean, or harsh or insulting). His reply: a nice big FU. story 3: In the lowbies I saw someone with 1500 expertise, they were mixing mods. I told them to remove the expertise mods and crystals from their gear because it hurts them. Next match, same person, same crap expertise. story 4: 2 non stealth idiots decide to run over to the other teams node in nova. I tell them not to since they are not stealth and we will be weakened in south. They ignore me, we lose south, they don't get the off node, and after they got killed I saw them running to the off node one at a time. After they derped around for more than half the match, I stealthed over to the offnode and easily kill capped it. story 5: I tell my stealth partner to set up a phase walk where I did and that we will go over to their node at 1:30 (this was all done in the ops chat so everyone can see it). He did. We started going over and what do we see? Some idiot sentinel fighting 3 guys. Luckily the other team was dumb and they left the node completely unguarded and we were able to double cap (I started capping at 12 seconds and asked my partner to sap any stealther he sees). My stealth partner asks him not to go there anymore after I gave up hope. We still needed another cap so we planned on going again (they had 2 guards but 2 of us could probably kill one and sap the other-low slash + WW while the other caps) and what do we see? Same guy drawing more guards. story 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 ...: I see people with garbage expertise and I tell them in ops chat to go on the forums and read the bolster guide. I tell them it's a 5 minute read. I get a nice FU N00B as a response and of course none of them have higher dps than me (a shadow who gave up after half the match and afked). Never_Hesitate
What? How dare you say I should l2p? When I loose (even in a 1vs8 situation) it's because you're either cheaters or you play the most op classes whilst mine is seriously up. Thank you for making the list. Azzataky
Quoting Noxxic automatically puts your post in question. Some SERIOUSLY * BAD * information over there. Well I'm not a pro myself so noxxic was the first guide which I looked at since google spits it first under "swtor guide". I'd say it is better than nothing since I found other websites with even more weird builds and usualy very old stuff. People at least can find some builds and to me it ment that I thought about builds I have I tried the noxxic build and now I have my own slightly different from the first one. But if more people will complain about it I'll remove it since already two people said it is bad stuff. And as Cycao said I take it as very basic build "guide" which is just to show you some options. I'm not fan of just copying a build and going with it without thinking about why you have that build. Btw Lotharofxev if you know some better website I'd really appreciate if you could post a link here.

It always going to be hacker, premades that cause them to not have fun. So there in a state of Denial with Dunning–Kruger effect are we getting to complicated yet? Hey I totally get you man I've got same experience with some players as well. Sometimes I get so upset I'd like to find em with a shotgun. But I never give up in warzones and since there is no way how to ignore those "FU noob" guys because ignore doesn't work in PvP I at least try to give some advice in ops chat. Even if one of those guys would read one topic, its an improvement.
