I don't know if this has been done before but with no real naming policies I thought we could give a little help to those who need it. I've been kinda lucky as my name i felt was pretty cool.

 

So here's how to do it according to an email I recieved some 7 or 8 years ago.

 

I'll use mine to help explain how this works. First things first you need 4 names

 

Mothers Maiden Name -

Place of Birth - (you can use town or hospital which ever gives you the best result)

Last Name -

First Name - [

 

Now you need to take the first 3 letters of your mothers maiden name and the frist 2 letters of your place of birth

 

Mil and Gr for me giving me the first name MILGR

 

and for your surname (i use it as my legacy name) the first 3 letters of your surname and the first 2 latters of your first name

 

Pri and Ma giving me the last name of PRIMA.

 

So I get

Milgr Prima

as a jedi name.

 

My wife gets Scami Prige more of a bounty hunter name, or possible a non human jedi i feel but thet then is just personal taste

 

This is a great place to start and adding hyphens or appostrophies, you can get so many great names. It's not written in stone what you do afterwards but a few small changes to what could be a bad name and you could have the ultimate jedi name

This is actually how I came up with my char's name! I used a slightly different formula for doing this a few years back, and I used that name in KotoR II. Then, when I couldnt think up a name in beta, I also used it, and then I carried it over to launch for my "me" character.

 

Using this method, I get: Sacca Janan.

Bleh.

 

But with other way I got Adraaj as my first name, which is what I named my first SWTOR character.

Gioph (or Giofr with hospital) Oketh (or Oketo using nickname instead of birth name)

 

Not a fan of any of these combinations.

Lahso Kryri, yeah that has to be the worst name ever... I'm not even sure if my char should be male or female... Can't I just use the name I got when I did the find your pornstar name? Edward Armstrong would be a sweet Jedi name too I think. Lahso Kryri is just jibberish and I would have to report myself for having an overly silly name that doesn't belong on a RP server.

Of course, to get your 'non-youth-oriented movie' name, take the name of your first pet and your mother's maiden surname...

Actually, that's a pretty good Smuggler name. "Laaa-so Kr-ear-ree"; kinda reminds me of "Lando Calrissian"...
