Post-Oricon boss scope - ideas/predictions

Recommended Posts

We're going back to WAR! Huah, what is it good for? Hoopefully something, c'mon! Huah!

So, the Rebs are off to Korriban and the Imps to Typhon after going through mechanical rancors, betentacled inter-dimensional horrors and the prospect of eternal mind-slavery to a group of 20-foot Jolly Green Dread Masters, presumably to face regular sized sith and jedi. In that light, how can BW top previous experiences and clinch the "wow" factor (no pun intended) in their new updates?

Will Satele suddenly grow into a 40-foot Force Giant shouting "You don't know the power of the Light Side"? Will Darth Marr spawn infinite copies of himself that can only be killed by solving a three-level datacron puzzle while dodging falling dreadnaughts? Will the the gates of Typhon be guarded by a Flesh Raider From Beyond?

What are your predictions/ideas about the scope of future raid/fp bosses and war leaders, and can BW ever top its previous over-the-topness :)?

The Republic and Empire find a mysterious planet, one of the Gree homeworlds. Upon arriving there, they notice that Kephess the Reborn Undying Clone is trying to activate another hypergate. Upon activation, the portal glows with a green-ish color. Kephess the Reborn Undying Clone passes through and the forces and the Empire and the Republic follow him.

Passing through the Hypergate, they find themselves into a weird and strange planet. They witness strange armored humanoid beings fighting 8-feet tall green-skinned muscular beings. One of the armored humanoid beings sees the confused forces of the Republic and Empire, and from afar he yells :

'' Welcome to Outland recruits! Now get your swords and fight the Horde! ''

Kephess lives

Dont be silly, he's gonna be the secret boss in NiM DP

Calphayus is gonna bring him back in his past/future phases, and after you spank him to death again, hes gonna drop "Armor of the Immortal Trandoshan", which causes leaving combat outside of PvP situations to completely restore your health + resources

"A mysterious creature called the "The Emperor Stormborn Windchaser Firedestroyer the Betrayer (because, WoW)" is trying to claim the Kil'Jaden's Force Couch Cushion of Nastiness and destroy the multiverse with uncomfortable furniture - only the chosen of the Republic can help their new poorly textured allies defeat this new threat to the Republic...and to every world touched by the Force across the star-planes."

...I'd buy that :p.

The Gungan Menace

The Sith Empire will devote all its efforts to destroying this race of jabbering idiots from infecting the entire galaxy with their stupidity and mediocre culture.

The Republic of course, will be fighting to save the Gungans, because they value mediocrity and mentally handicapped aquatic races above all else.

Problem with this though: Canonicly, This is impossible.

The game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds is considered Cannon

The Gungan campaign in that game had a section set 2000 years before TPM - 1650 years after this game

In this section of the Gungan Campaign, there was no evidence of Gungans being aware of life off the planet - They were fighting for control over the planet with stuff so primitive it made TPM gungans look advanced.

On the bright side, this means we don't have to deal with gungans in this game ever :D

**Possible Spoiler Ahead**

Bring back Malgus. There's no way he dies when we knock him off the edge.

Imagine the cut scene. It flashes back and shows the last like 30 seconds of the epic fight, you knocking him off and hightailing it out of there before the station blows up. It pans down and shows Malgus hanging on to a support beam across the reactor. He leaps back up and narrowly escapes the blast in his shuttle. The screen slowly fades to black with Malgus, beaten and bruised center stage, and all you hear him say is, "set course for Dromund Kaas."

I've always felt like he would have made a way better Operation boss than a Flashpoint boss.
