Trash Respawn Denova HM

Ya can confirm this as well. Last night we forgot to leave one person in the old instance when we wiped. When we zoned back into, we zoned into instance 2 (was in instance 1) and all the trash respawned.

Simple fix idea since you guys couldn't fix it your way. Remove all the trash from between the bosses for guilds that have cleared 4/4 at least 3 times already. Then we can switch instances all day long with no worries. 8P

 

I joke, I kid. In all seriousness, why would there be a switching of instances in the first place. Have a set cap in multiples of 8, and don't switch instances. So an instance could be 64 player cap perse before a new instance is opened up. Any combination of 8/16 man groups make up this cap but here is the rub. It is a dynamic set that if 56 people are already in the instance and a 16 man group wants in, they will create a new instance. If an 8 man wants in, they get into that one.

 

Make the instances have a timeout factor of 5 mins as well. That "slot" is held for 5 mins. This allows for wipe recovery where people are repairing outside the instance, that way their spot isn't taken by some other guild going in.

 

In theory, this shouldn't be too hard to implement.

Our guild never had an issue with respawning trash other then when we came back a day later and the correct trash was there. Never durning a raid night did it respawn. But last night after 1.3 after our 2nd wipe on the first boss the trash respawned on us. Clearly this issue as it was stated to be fixed in the patch notes was NOT fixed.

 

Also not to mention a bug that happened for us 2-3 times during attempts of the first boss. When they would pick the 1 person with the yellow circle who must move under the other boss. When it should go purple to lock it in it would instead pick another person who would have to run to the boss.

I know people have said that the instance can get split when people move from Denova[1] to Denova[2], etc after a wipe - even if someone stays inside while others run back.

 

Is it possible that when it is the raid leader remains inside, it doesn't happen? After all, the instance "belongs" to the raid leader - so maybe if it's the raid leader who stays inside, it wouldn't happen - or at least not quite so often?

 

Though I suppose there's still the chance that the other 7 or 15 people zone back in, the raid leader releases and still gets a new instance of their own when they zone back in. And yes, it happened to us in KP last night after 1.3 was released.

 

As problems goes, it's a temporary annoying one. But maybe we can mitigate it's effects until a working solution is implemented by trying to work around it.

Confirmed to still be an issue last night in NM KP. Killed the first boss, wiped on the 2nd, come back in and all the trash is up between bosses 1 and 2. Wipe again, and no respawned trash. Even their bugs are inconsistent. :D

Happened to us in HM Denova last night... 5/8 ppl stayed in the area(1) with 3 ppl that died to close to boss and had to release that was not the raid leader.. upon zoning in they were in a new instance.. nothing we did could get them back in.. only exiting and joining their instance was the only option.. now trash is up the entire way... and yet a 3rd week in a row where a 1 night raid has been delayed to 2 nights .. and other planned raids being pushed back.. we normally run 4 HM ECs last 3 weeks weve only had the time to run 2.. this needs priority attention.. as weve already had a few players leave the game.. from lack of new content and continous problems with this games bugs/glitches that make it semi-unplayable..

happened again bioware. are u really trying to get me to unsub? seriously. this is quite possibly the most irritating issue i have yet to encounter in swtor. we were on hm kephess and we wiped and some of us couldnt reenter the instance cuz of some admin message that was popping up. so we all had to leave the instance come back and what do u know. trash had respawned. so yet again we called the raid night early. fix it. im not joking. Happened again to us last night. SM EC. Wipe on F&S, had to clear 2 bosses worth of trash again.

 

People aren't just going to go "Oh those BioWare pranksters, we love you for wasting countless hours of our lives", they will UNSUBSCRIBE because of this crap.

Bioware, fix this. Tired of this garbage. Do you want the few remaining raiders left to quit? Tired of defending you. Get your priorities straight. No one cares about legacy. This bug is huge poke in the eye for the few players left who struggle to get raids put together at all. If you can't figure out the bug, remove half the trash before Kephess. It serves no purpose other than being a time sink. All the goodwill you've built up with your fans prior to release is just about exhausted. Fix it or die, it's that simple.

Although that is the important part, they should just remove half the trash anyway.

 

The endless trash in the trenches is soul-killingly tedious stuff. We actually groan when we get to it.

 

Oh, and please change it so the speeder will take you right to Kephess' area. Having to do that long run gets really annoying.

Happened to use on Tuesday and no way to avoid it, since we did keep somebody in the instance and still had to move instances. Just after the mine field so we called it and finished it up last night.

 

When we cleared the trash to get to the BH comms chest, it was red and didn't open; so we didn't even get the reward for trash clearing :(

You should add checkpoints located at the placed the players are about to enter a bossfight. You still want your timesink - fine. It won't be as long and annoying as clearing the trash but will still be. Just add speeders that will take is infront of the boss encounters. Look, people are getting tired in raids, annoyed and this is really affecting performance of guilds that have no hardcore approach. High end content and plenty of time sinks in raids are among the reasons why people quit the game. They're annoyed and tired of having to fight through the same trash / travelling on foot through the long path to the boss. Even though they've cleared that path the other night. Sure, respawn trash - but give us more checkpoints and speeders.

Actually Respawn of trash mobs defeats the purpose of the entire point of going in the first place.

We go to fight a boss not fight endless rewardless mobs of trash.

If the trash gave as good of rewards all the time then fine let them respawn, but presently they do not.

 

BioWare has said this is fixed in mails to me and each time it is a lie. BioWare does not test anything.
