I've already used the one free Name Change item that was supplied by the system, but I was wondering if there was another way to do it for my other characters. Mubrak Posted September 14, 2017 Share Posted September 14, 2017 (edited) There are two ways to rename a character: First directly, using the "Rename: Character Name" consumable (of which every account gets one for free.) This can be found in the Cartel Market under "Consumables" for 1000cc (can be as low as 500cc on holiday sales). The second way works indirectly, using a server transfer, which will force a name-change when the name already exists on the target server. This costs only 90cc (180 if you want to move back) but the transfer will wipe all the character's emails and outfit-designer slots. The items in those slots are deleted, or just put back in inventory, or you no longer have access to the slots? I haven't messed around with the designer much so don't know much about it. The outfit designer allows you to create a costume by copying the looks of armor pieces, you keep the actual item and can do whatever you want with it. You can also apply single-use dyes to each piece of gear. After a server transfer all outfit-slots are empty, so when you used a trash item for an outfit and vendored it afterwards to save space in the cargo-hold, or legacy gear you left on an alt on the old server, or when you used an expensive dye for the outfit, you need to get those items back before you can redo your outfit. You also may simply not remember what you used for that outfit, especially when you didn't expect to lose it.
