Spoilers- IA story endings

My ending seemed to be a little vague:

I picked most light side options, didn't join SIS and locked Ardun Kothe in the room, where he was shot by the turrets. I then got the black codex and didn't give it to the sith, then proceeded to beat them. Upon returning to the Minister, he did ask me for the box, to wipe my information, but, I refused even him. Here's a short synopsis of the dialogue:

[Minister]: Give me the Codex, it'll erase your info

[Me]: What about everyone else

[Minister]: If lucky, I might retire, and everyone else will help you in secret, you will work in the shadows. This is the best I can offer

[Me]: I'm sorry, your best isn't enough

[Minister]: Still loyal to the end I see. What's coming is dangerous. If you wish to stay, I wish you well, Cipher, however long that name lasts.

[Me]: However bleak it might seem, we're not finished, I'll make the Empire a better place. Not by fleeing. By doing my duty, no matter what.

[Minister]: Thank you, agent. Dismissed

SO, I don't think I gave him the box, I received no lightside or darkside points fomr the exchange if I recall correctly. Upon getting on my ship, my shipmates ask how it went, and I say "Imperial Intelligence has fallen, but it does not change our duty. We soldier on." Then Keeper (Watcher 2) calls in on holo and this is the ending exchange:

[Keeper]: This is command ship Tenebrous. I thought I'd see you off properly; it might be a while before we do this again.

[Me]: Somehow, I doubt it'll be that long. But, I appreciate the thought.

[Keeper]: We're getting questions from Dromund Kaas, and I was hoping to set the record straight. What's your plan while we sort things out here?

[Me]: For the record? Better not ask. But my people and I will be watching, and you'll hear from us again.

[Keeper]: Understood. Good luck.

So, it KINDA seems like the rogue/shadow agent ending, but it's not really giving me that vibe. It feels like the entire group will do stuff aside from the sith intelligence or something...like our entire intelligence became underground! That's how I like to think of it

That's the way I ended mine, I stayed loyal to the Empire, didn't give the codex over to anyone afaik, didn't get my records destroyed I just went back on the ship and said I'm continuing to serve the Empire where I got a lot of +appreciation from Vector, Temple and Lokin.

Dunno if I hold the rank of lieutenant or anything, don't even know if their is a sith intelligence now.

Chance was the only member on the team who genuinely seemed to give a toss what happened too you and he appeared to regret having to use the codeword but face it in that kind of situation where you ARE going to die without backup I bet nine times out of ten you would do what Chance did. I spared him, but only because A) He wasn't a total **** to me like Hunter and B) Helps gain trust with the SIS and I can always eliminate him with the rest if needs be. I killed Saber and Wheel because I'd inevitably have to do it anyway. I defeated Ardun Kothe and asked him to surrender (because lets face it somebody with THAT much information is far more useful to Intelligence alive) but then he went and got himself locked in the turret room... smooth.

About the "Mind ****" though, I managed to get over it pretty quickly with Keeper. I mean the Dark Council wanted to have you executed for saving their stinking hides. Keeper basicly saved your life by authorising the brain washing since the Dark Council wanted the former. It was being put through that trauma (and IRL I have suffered from mental issues similar in the past) or just being executed. Not to mention Keeper doesn't sound surprised at all you broke free of it, nor does he intend to tell anybody you did so.

I agree on the Keeper. I was mad and she confronted him about it, but when he said he wouldn't tell anyone, I lost a lot of rage with him, and let's face it, he really does resent the dark council's meddling. It still galls me as much as Kylania though. Giving everything to help the empire and this is how you are repaid?

I actually liked Saber and Wheel hardly talked. I was more than happy to just move on with those two and let them live. It fit far better into Kylania's normally forgiving attitude. Killing the ones that abused her vulnerability is a deviation for her, but the rage and despair at being treated like an untrustworthy automaton combined with the fact that she may well be mentally scarred for life forced her hand on the others.

Maybe I would do what Chance did, I've never been there so can't honestly reply, but since my agent has to live with the fact that she was violated and he used the word at least twice before failing at the end, he needed to die. I consider the whole thing such a vile violation of one's very being that no punishment is strong enough. She has to live with the knowledge that she was used and abused like some kind of sick puppet by these monsters for the rest of her life. I was happy when Ardun Kothe died. Only Hunter was nastier to me. His (Ardun's) saying sorry for such a horrific violation is hardly sufficient.

Hunter's day is coming. I hated that puke from the first encounter with him/her and watching Hunter die will hopefully be the last dark side points I get. I've always let people go, tried to save lives until this insidious invasion of her very being happened, but this is beyond simple murder or physical torture.

I always did resent the dark council in the story. My agent genuinely wants to help all the citizens of the empire and this kind of thing shakes her idealism to the core. Letting Chance die and killing Ardun Kothe only came about due to the mind****. If Chance had not used the code word, I would have gladly saved him.

Basically, Chance tries to use the word after I was nasty to him:"Not dead yet, huh?" or something of that nature. Then when he couldn't say the hated codeword because he was so badly hurt, I took the darkside choice:"You can't say it can you? Goodbye Chance." And he begged before expiring as I walked away. The nastiest thing she's done so far, but I feel it's more than justified, the whole brainwashing thing makes my skin crawl. She's still over 7k light and only 250 dark at the beginning of chapter 3.

If you planned on going for the 4th ending, did you side with Jadus at the end of chapter 1?

I did. In order of my choices:

1) I sided with Jadus

2) I killed everyone in SIS except for Chance. He was the only one who wasn't being a dick.

3) I killed the Voss to get to the cube in the Temple of Healing. However, I did marry the Voss girl instead of simply blackmailing the family.

4) I didn't argue Kaliyo's arrest. I also gave the cube to the Siths right away, and wasn't sympathetic towards Intelligence or Keeper. Whenever my past choices were brought up and asked if I regretted them, I would always support my path 100%.

In Act 4, I did warn Lord Razer about the troop movement, and did not kill that Moff and helped him escape. I wonder if it had anything to do with altering that ending, as he reports to the Dark Council. I have a feeling that pissing the Council off a bit more would've made the difference.

Interesting, I assumed that the Sith Intelligence ending wasn’t available when you sided with Jadus. So at least 3 of the endings are still available when you do that, maybe even the light side endings as well.

My first agent ended up with the semi-neutral 3rd ending which I found somewhat disappointing because that wasn’t my goal. So I’m creating a new agent now and making some small adjustments to the choices I make and one of the things I’ll need to think more about is how to deal with that Moff on Corellia because I ended up saving him on my first agent.

That late in the class story it can’t be just random dark side points if you kill him, I’m sure it has some meaning, even if I’m not 100% sure what it is yet.

I'm pretty sure that warning Razer about the troop movement, and sparing/helping the Moff made the difference, as both end up talking to the Dark Council.

My theory is:

By supporting Jadus, turning in the Black Codex right away and being mad at Keeper for your fate, you obviously cast your lot with the Sith in general.

By making the Dark Council aware of Imperial Intelligence's worth on Corellia, you might make the difference between them wanting to create a Sith Intelligence or simply disbanding it, leaving you as the Hand of Jadus.

I'm also wondering if that random class side-quest Jadus gives you on Hoth mattered or not.

It is also important to note that you become the Hand of Jadus in Act1. When the 2 Sith came aboard the ship for the Black Codex, they told me that they intended to bring it to Jadus, and not to the Council. Yet during Keeper's speech, he told me the Council will create a Sith Intelligence, and I will be able to head their dark projects thanks to the information obtained from the Black Codex. Are we really sure that there is an actual "all about Jadus" ending, or could it just be that the choice is carried over to all endings?

Am I the only one who wishes I could've joined the conspirators, and flown off into the sunset with Hunter to squish the Sith and Jedi? lol.

I ended up with the LS ending as a free agent. I was full LS, so I think the only other option for me was to join up with the SIS (or to not give anything to the Minister). If I ever play another agent, I'm going to play it neutral and try for the blackmail ending. It would be nice to have the upper hand over the Council like that.

Me too somewhat!

Even if I don't think I could ever forgive the "We could have ruled the galaxy together, me as the master and you as the servant" thing he has going, I do really feel pity for him/her and think and hope that given time I could have changed him. I thought I'd feel relief after the end on the star cabal ship, but I just felt sadness and emptiness. Hunter is such a sad and complex character, I'm a little disappointed he/she is gone.

But my Yvi'i has ideals much closer to the Star Cabal as you see it on Belsavis, from the old records of it. It just seems to her like much nobler goals than Empire or Republic. If things had been different I think I would have tried to set the star cabal back to their old goals. Though that party for the end of corellia makes me sick to my stomach, I just got really sad about how people could do such a thing! And watcher 2's plan for me being there also, I couldn't watch that :<

I got the free agent ending, which to me felt like it was the least bad thing that could have happened. Yvi'i always more than anything wanted her freedom after that awful awful act 2 abuse!

Call me gullible, but I kinda didn't want to leave Keeper and Watcher 2. There are some amazing one-liner exchanges about near the end, tihi ^^

"How long have you wanted to plot my demise?" Watcher 2: "Oh, about since you landed on Hutta, on and off."

Keeper: "I never did understand your sense of humor."

It makes me happy that the way I played my dialogues left a mark!

I think maybe I am quite different in that I didn't kill the sith on the ship, nor give them the codex. I chose the option to fool them, it made me giggle to think they'd be spending time translating my personal text messages on my holocom :p Serves them right!

I thought I was part of the Sith Intelligence, but during the interlude, it says I go where ever I am needed, yet I didn't destroy the codex or hand it over to the Sith, what ending do I have actually?

Normal. I got the Sith Intelligence ending as well and this is what appears. When Keeper announces you'll be part of the Sith Intelligence, it's also mentionned that it's in the making. So you'll get to head evil projects for the Dark Council once it's up and running, but for now you're "in between jobs". In a future expansion perhaps? :)

My choices in the story:

Act 1

- Had Grey Star captured.

- Killed Watcher X. I didn't like it, I didn't want too, but orders are orders.

- Killed Mia Hawkins. She was a loose end and still supported the terrorist cause.

- Let Vector's kiliks take over House Cortess. If they were willing to turn on me on the whim of their Baroness I don't want potentially weak links like that screwing over the Empire. I felt like a dick for it, but Vector did ask nicely.

- Followed Watcher Two's plan and trapped Jadus. Thousands die so he can't run off and have a crack at another few million? Fair enough.

Act 2

- Let Chance live. He wasn't a complete dick, also it gains trust with the SIS. I can always kill him later if needs be.

- Killed Wheel and the Twi'lek. I'd have to off them soon enough anyway, I might as well do it now.

- Asked Ardun to surrender but then he went and got himself locked in with the turrets anyway. Idiot.

Act 3

- Gave the intel on Republic troops over. I don't even know why this needed to be an option.

- Went the friendly route with the Moff and escorted him and the Imperial Guard out of the building. He even sent me a mail later saying he argued against Intelligence being disbanded, nice guy.

- Asked Hunter to surrender, she off'ed herself of course but I expected that.

- Gave the Codex to the Dark Council. Orders are orders.

- Apologised to Keeper/Minister of Intelligence. If I can save him during his inevitable trial I'll bloody well do it.

I'm pretty sure that warning Razer about the troop movement, and sparing/helping the Moff made the difference, as both end up talking to the Dark Council.

Very interesting. Here is how I saw it the first time I played through the story. If I remember correctly I asked Razer if Jadus had approved of shutting down Imperial Intelligence and I think he answered that it was a unanimous decision made by the Dark Council ( could remember it incorrectly though, shame I don’t take more screenshots ). However he did not specify if Darth Jadus was present when the decision was made.

This alongside with that some time has passed after the end of Chapter 1 ( presumably ) makes me think that Jadus' enemies on the Dark Council are not much of a problem anymore at the middle / end of Chapter 3. They should either be dead or weakened ( even if we get very little about who they are and what happened to them ). However it’s possible that I didn’t explore the conversation where Jadus says that he is going into seclusion and will not be able to provide his protection anymore to get more details around this.

If this is the case, and then it would certainly make sense if the Sith Intelligence ending is the only dark side ending, for example questioning Razer would probably only take you further away from the dark side ending.

The spoiler below includes some big hints about the Jedi Knight's story in addition to Imperial Agent's story. You have been warned.

The mission on Hoth is indeed *very* vague. Since Jedi are involved I suspect that this quest is there to give the player a hint about what is going on with the Emperor ( i.e., in the Jedi Knight story ). However I have not confirmed if any part of the Jedi Knight’s story that is related to the Emperor really takes place on Hoth.

I'm light side 5, and got the free agent ending. In my mind, this is the perfect ending - way back on Voss, when asked what I wanted, I said I wanted to be free. And now I am. Woot.

I'm actually amazed at how many endings there are. I thought there was just gonna be two - if you did or did not give the data to the sith.

Awesome looking forward to that, think it has a lot of potential to develop into something bigger.

I am not sure I got an ending... :-P

No mention of Intelligence reforming or not,

No mention of where the Black Codex goes (although in the last holo call with Keeper I did say I will track down the enemies of the Empire and kill them - so I'm thinking I still have it??),

No mention of what happens to the Minister, although he did say with luck he will be allowed to retire gracefully...

I think I got the "Not a prize" ending...

I was expecting a sort of "end credits" cut scene to let me know this story was finished. Instead the "movie screen" went black and the lights came on suddenly, making me wonder if the film reel broke or something. (All figurative, of course.)

I'm not complaining... I am just confused.

Add in all the "loose ends" from the story I would like answered, such as:

What happens with my second wife Yana-Ton? I got a strange email from her that read as borderline suicidal... And my agent would have done something about that.

Do I get a chance to revisit my fling Darth Lacchris any time soon? I get the sneaking suspicion she was a lot of fun...

In my story, there is this heavy tension between the now Keeper, and my agent... Will they ever get together? Even for a one nighter?

I end up walking away with a bunch of questions, no answers, and a sort of "numb" feeling for the whole thing...

Bah! Enough rambling! G'Night all. :-D

Concerning Yana-Ton and her Emails, I think there is a bug. You get a one where her brother despairs and she sort of wanders off and one where she seems content how it turned out, except for most probably not seeing you again. Those two emails were probably meant to be mutually exclusive, depending whether you treated her bad or nice.

The marriage with her was impressive, especially since I had my true partner watch it all (err--- well not really everything...), but somehow after the ceremony started, it wasn´t an "elaborate theater piece" anymore... very cool story, it packs emotion!

I didnt find my ending:)

Intelligence completely dismantled and I became unemployed.

(whenever required)

The story ends with Ardun Kothe letter to me.

In which he wished me all the best in the future.

(I an Dark Side V, Loathsome. But maintained good relations with him all the time)

/sigh - so many endings. Here I figured all agent endings would come to about the same conclusion.

Mostly Dark Side agent and I'm ANGRY what happened when I returned to Dromund Kaas.... :( I really do hope I get back what was taken away from me!

So did anyone else find the *twist* a bit weak?

So I'm a Male IA and when Hunter reveals herself as a girl I get the flirt option to share a dying kiss. I'm thinking her disguise was all a bit pointless but I figure Bioware is going for a James Bond style, romancing your rival, in love with the bad girl type ending. (or bad guy if you are playing as a girl)

But then I see the female IA ending, Hunter is still a girl, no kiss but instead on option to express your awe at the fact that she achieved all she did while being burdened with ovaries.

I really liked my 'free agent' ending but Hunter's disguise seemed a bit pointless as SW:TOR isn't really meant to have gender defined roles. As an agent I am surrounded by strong (albeit mostly psychotic) women so I just didn't see why Hunter felt the need to disguise herself as a man.

So....

I'm in chapter three but not far along yet, but I have to blow Hunter's head off once I get that far. If I just kill him/her before she reveals her 'secret' do we not find out that he is a she? I normally go light but I decided long ago that anyone using that accursed codeword was going to die so wasn't going to get into any more dialog with this puke than necessary.

It's the oldest storytelling twist in the book. It felt like they were required by law to shove a 'twist' in, couldn't think of anything else and went "Sod it".

The disguise was pointless, but she actually mentions herself that even though the Star Cabal didn't care if she was a man or women, she found living as 'somebody else' easier when doing her job thus stuck with it.

I've not done it myself, but I assume once you kill 'him' the suit will malfunction or something thus revealing her identity.
