ElusiveOneX
Hello swtor forums, My slight OCD needs to be put to rest, and I am wondering if non-crafters should bother with maxing companion affection. Lets assume two things, I only use slicing, and I have already maxed enough companions to get the account wide stat buffs. Should I max the rest? Thanks for reading. MiaowZedong
If you have all the stats buffs, the only reasons to max more companions are crafting, achievements and seeing their conversations.

That is what I was thinking. Is presence worth chasing at all?
jauvtus
That is what I was thinking. Is presence worth chasing at all? I only care about presence datacrons, dont see the point of using it in gear. Gear yourself, I can solo dailies even without comp
Joefjr
That is what I was thinking. Is presence worth chasing at all? Yes it is, especially if you use Treek as a tank because she gets the most out of it point for point. I get +500 presence thru legacy and it makes a large noticeable difference. The 500 you get thru legacy is: +2500 HP's +100 Damage +70 Healing
DawnAskham
That is what I was thinking. Is presence worth chasing at all? For sure if you plan to roll more alts, as the bonus is exceptional at lower levels where +2500 HP and +120 damage makes companions gods. I usually get to level 29 on characters wearing nothing but a few pieces of starter world gear, all because my companions (I tend to use Treek at low levels as she has a full set of starting gear) are ridiculously strong. Otherwise, the bonus isn't as noticeable at 65 (the bonus is flat - it doesn't scale to level), but it does help.
