When I watch YouTube videos of people playing the Gunship I see damage of 1000 or more per hit. Mine is barely over 100. I need help to know what I'm doing wrong.

My ship has Slug and Plasma railguns with the 10k modifications level. I press 'F1' to get my guns fully charged. Khem is my crewmate so I benefit from his 'Bypass' ability.

But still I cannot match their damage.

Stupid question: Do you charge up your railgun?

If not: try it some time, just hold the left mouse button for a couple of seconds, you will see the orange powerbar of the gun (top half of your sniper-scope-screen) fill up.

Just keep in mind that by charging up the shots you constantly drain your weapon-powerpool.

Unless you buy some upgrades, you can pull out two or three full-charged shots before your power goes out and you have to wait for it to refill.

This is especially annoing if you do not hit with a full-charged shot, because you simply waste good blaster power.
