[Bug] Lost the majority of the achievements from the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event

I got all the event achievements within the first few weeks, including the hidden blow up the slots one. Upon logging in today, I noticed over half of them are missing. I am now at 95/295 achievement points.

 

The missing ones are:

 

Sound of Rain

High roller

Instant Winner

Hot Slots

Cashing In

Quality Assurance (hidden).

 

Interestingly, I still have the "The Unlucky" legacy title, but not the achievement that gets you it (Quality Assurance)

 

Relogging/repairing game didn't change anything, and everybody else I talked to still had all of their achievements.

 

Server: The Shadowlands.

Primary toon: Briffun

 

Many thanks for your hard work. Honestly, this has been by far the smoothest major release I've seen from you guys, kudos to the dev team!

I'd like to add to this.

 

Unfortunately mine is a little more extreme than losing previously awarded achievements. I only just noticed that I never received a lot of my achievements when the achievements system went live.

 

I'll give a few examples:

 

On my main I've collected almost all the datacrons. I have the codex entries to show I got them but when I look at the locations section of my achievements all the planets listed don't have them marked off. As all of my toons have passed the starting planets I would need to make new ones just to get those ones!

 

I've also completed most flash points and some Ops and again on the listing for FPs and Ops there is no record.

 

When the system went live I thought it I had to complete them again to get the achievements, I then found out last night that a friend of mine that barely raided before the system came out and never did after the achievements came out, has the achievements listed from when he used to raid before the system went live.

 

This was true for everything else like datacron finds, etc.

 

I contacted customer support to try and get them reinstated but was told it was a bug and needed a bug report and hopefully!!!! would be fixed in the future. Hence why I am here.

 

I'm not very hopeful for this as the system has been out for ages, and if it hasn't been fixed by now I doubt it will ever be. I mean one of my toons heads still poke through his rode when flying on a speeder, if that's not fixed I doubt this will be!!

This is a completely different bug than what is described here, please don't derail the thread. Your issue has already been confirmed by a yellow. Only players logging in between 2.0 and 2.4 received all of the achievements for completed quests (class stories, datacrons etc.), anyone who returned to the game with 2.5 or later did not receive them.

Since this issue has been forwarded to the devs, they are aware of the problem and will fix it eventually, so no need to push it, just need to be patient. :)

Just decided to check mine to make sure.

 

Of the 9 listed under "Nar Shaddaa Nightlife", somehow I've only lost 3. High Roller, Instant Winner, and Hot Slots. Oddly, my Gree event achievements had some loss. My killings of Gravak'k and Surgok'k were wiped out.

Hmm. I just got an in-game notification saying thank you for submitting a bug report (even though I submitted it 13 days ago), and that it is now closed.... But I still don't have my achievements. Bioware, what do I do? If I just need to hang tight and it'll be fixed, that's fine by me. But right now I'm not sure if I'm supposed to submit another ticket or what?

For issues like this, you usually have two submit two tickets:

 

1) One ticket under the Bug Reports category, where you describe this bug in general (e.g. the achievements XYZ get lost after patch 2.9). This ticket gets sent to the QA team and you get a standard response (Thank you for submitting this bug report etc.). The QA team will put the bug report in the system and the bug will be fixed in some patch in the future. This won't help you get your achievement directly, you'll have to wait until the bug is fixed, but at least you let the devs know that this bug exists.

 

2) The second ticket needs to be sent to Customer Service, in this case the "Character/Companion" category. in the ticket, you write your character/legacy name, your server, and ask that they manually unlock the achievements for you. Ideally, you also include the original time when you unlocked the achievement so that CS can verify that you really did unlock the achievement previously.

 

However, in the current situation, there is no need really to submit another ticket. Since Tait already responded here and multiple people sent in bug report tickets, there's no need to send another #1 ticket. QA is already aware of this bug, they just did not find it important enough because it is not a game-breaking bug, and can wait a few weeks/months. At the latest, they'll make sure to have it fixed before the casino event returns.

 

The ticket #2 will probably not help too much either. CS very likely received clear instructions that they are not allowed to give certain players the achievement directly. Instead, they should tell players to wait until a future patch where this bug gets fixed. The reason for this is the following: If some players would get their achievement directly from CS, every other player would have to contact CS as well to manually grant the achievement, and then CS would be overwhelmed by all the tickets. Since this bug appears to affect every single player, it's best to just wait for the bug fix and ignore these requests, instead of favoring certain players.

 

So in the end, we are at the mercy of the QA and dev team, because they can decide how to prioritize this bug and when it will be fixed. Continuing to push this thread won't help too much, because Tait can just forward our bug reports to QA, but he has no say in what bugs should be prioritized. He could look up the bug in the system and tell us "This bug is scheduled to be fixed with patch ...", but rest assured that the QA team is already aware of this bug.

 

Hope I could explain to you a little big how to best submit tickets, because I know a lot of players are confused about it, I myself have also not known this for a long time. To us players, it feels like we are neglected when bugs are not fixed for a time, but we can rest assured knowing that this bug is somewhere in the system, and will be fixed eventually. :)

I have lost most of mine too.

 

Strangely I still have the Vectron Magnus and Rancor ones, but not the "Instant Winner" one which you get if you win a mount or golden certificate. Those two are the only two achievements I seem to have now from this event :(

 

Hope this is fixed soon, I had 100% completion including the hidden one for blowing up a machine :(

I submitted a ticket on this issue in the Character/Companion category, and got an (out of game) email reply saying i should "submit a Bug Report on this issue" so their QA team can look into it. So I will. Because they asked me to. Edited by Adric_the_Red
