Technohic
OP seems to make a fairly good observation of the servers. Go where you pong leads you imp Well; now I can't decide at all! my Pong keeps bouncing me back and forth. Thanks Frankensensus! You just made it worse by having this thread! Jadescythe
TL;DR for this thread: Go where the ping is better unless you like attempting oPvP and crashing the server, then go to POT5.

islander
If I want to play an 8-bit looking game i'll buy a original Nintendo or download an emulator. It's 2013 and a MMO should be able to handle it or they are just stealing money. Do you play on POT5 and have you gone to these gatherings? It's not a matter of lowering your settings. This isn't really the point though. You can make this argument but it doesn't change reality. I do OW large scale PvP with low settings and honestly I usually warzone at moderate settings - if I remember to change them. I CAN warzone at very high (minus AA, which I use via my card software) but I sometimes run into scenarios when there's 4 people around me stunning/smashing and the FPS for that moment drops so low I struggle to do things like get into cover to defend myself, and subsequently die. Honestly? When I want to enjoy maximized graphics, I do solo PvE dailies or level an alt. I can still do sporadic 3 on 3 open world PvP with friends and it's fine. Differences for PvP visually aren't that dramatic. I'm looking at the reds, not the scenery. Oh, and Pistols moved his characters to Bastion - then moved them back to Pot5. I think that says it all right there Edited July 3, 2013 by islander

If you are manipulating the quality of video graphics at all in this game not in a large open world event that is a PC issue. We are speaking of server incapability. Well sure, I don't have a massive gaming rig. No arguing that. My point stands that I have next to no unworkably real issue in open world fighting (i.e. Cilas's events) unless it gets amazingly huge. When I adjust graphics quality situationally, I get better performance and can participate in these events.
Zunayson
I made this review mainly because like I tell people in game, I have no e-peen because I have no real-peen, and thank the good lord I don't. I can't find the like button

DarthOvertone
The PvP on The Bastion is pretty fun. However, The Bastion easily has the most tinfoil hat WZ quitters this game has ever seen. And it's strange, because peeps bail before WZs start, in the middle of WZs, even when your team is winning a match. There isn't any rhyme or reason to it that can be easily explained. Seems to happen the most on Tuesdays when Weeklies reset. Anyway, there are too many of these Nostradamus wanna-be's to count. Running Regz on a Tuesday is like watching a bunch of kids jump off and on a merry-go-round. I can't imagine Pot5 has anywhere near the same WZ quitting mentality. I know Jung Ma does not. Now it is Regz, so who really gives a sh*t anyway, but it certainly does happen. I'm guessing that the frequent rollover is why the queues are so jacked up. ChickenWangs
1) no 2) several on both. That's why I mainly put an emphasis on leveling brackets queue time. See there is the problem right there. You never played 55 pvp. I am on POT5 (considering transferring). Want to know why? Republic pvp is awful at 55. 800k damage done, lose. 700k, lose. 750k, lose. Republic teams are so dumb and half the guilds who claim to be pvp guilds are terrible. Granted there are a few gems in the pvp guilds, but (since I can't name specific guilds) there are many bad casual guilds with 300+ members. I used to be a member of one of those bad guilds. They said they were solid ranked players, and they wanted me to "try out." After losing 4 times (every time I topped dps) they said they would like me to join. Now if you join Empire on the other hand, you will feel like sunshine and daisies. Roll the worst spec in the game and you can still win. Pre-2.0 I could do 500k on an Arsenal specced merc as imp. Pubs were so terrible they never shot at me. As for the Bastion I have no comment on the matter because I never played there.

You're right, I haven't participated in it, I've got no problem admitting that. It's just that with the general public's opinion on the current state of PvP, most of the people I see on the fleet are alts. People tend to prefer playing lowbie PvP right now, so that's the reason I focused so hard on that part Edited July 4, 2013 by Frankenseuss

Frankenseuss
But seriously, no I don't have experience with level 55 warzones. I only had experience with 50 warzones back during 1.1-1.2, during the good old days of Ajunta Pall PvP. I came back after all of the server merges happened, about a month and a half ago to be honest, and found myself on the shadowlands and pot5. That was when I started doing my homework, reading forums, watching videos posted by people from both servers, and what ultimately made my decision was Cilas' world PvP events. I love some warzones don't get me wrong, but I also love some OWPvP. Like the days of Stranglethorn Vale PvP in WoW
Raansu
Are you on the west coast? Go to bastion. Are you on the east coast? Go to PoT5...there, problem solved, unless of course you like the 3 hour time difference and the 150+ ping instead of 30ish ping.
