Introduction

 

Howdy Folks,

This is Kenji from Dead on Arrival. To start, equip an Operations Training Dummy with an Armor Reduction Module and your choice of either the 1 million or 1.5 million heath modifier and kill it. Upload your combat log to Torparse.com and share the unedited link in this thread.

 

Leaderboard Rules

 

  1. To qualify, kill either the 1 Million or the 1.5 Million hp Operations Training Dummy. The Armor Reduction Module is also required.
  2. Upload your combat log in Torparse.com and share the link in your post. Do not crop your parse.
  3. Post your DPS and your time in combat.
  4. Relics and adrenals are allowed and so are all 4 class buffs.
  5. Buffs from other players in the group such as inspiration are not allowed.
  6. Saboteur/Engineering parses will now have their own category and do not qualify for the All-Star category.
  7. Honorable Mention ( ) spots in the All-Star category is only available to Advanced Classes that did not make the leaderboard. Maximum of one Honorable Mention per advanced class.

 

Format

 

Parses are placed from fastest dummy kill time down to a threshold of 3 people per Advanced Class leaderboard. (Exception being All-Star Leaderboard of 5 people and Saboteur/Engineering Gunslingers/Snipers Leaderboard of 2 people)

Also,

TorParse DPS is inaccurate, TTK is now the Basis for Leaderboard, Calculate Effective DPS by dividing dummy HP by your TTK in seconds.

 

Explanation:

If you guys have parsed with a parsing tool such as Parsec or MoX, it's easy to notice that the number shown on your parsing tool is higher than the one calculated on TorParse. This is due to TorParse cutting off the very last hit as the Combat Logs input the entry "ExitCombat" just before that last tick of damage, thus resulting in lower DPS output.

 

And why is this important? This means how big that "last hit" is will affect how your DPS is calculated according to TorParse. If a DoT did that last hit as opposed to a Master Strike tick doing that last hit, given the same amount of clear time, the parse last hit with a DoT will have roughly up to 20 to 30dps higher than the Master Strike last hit.

 

To make our leaderboard that reflects the most accurate DPS, our only hope lies within the Time to Kill. (In which I need to thank Neutrino for incorporating it in the last thread)

 

And here is what you can do to make my job easier:

Calculate your own effective DPS, as we can no longer use the number shown on TorParse. It is fairly simple to do:

1. Take your time and put it in terms of seconds (4min 30sec = 270sec)

2. Divide 1 million, or 1,000,000 by that time (Or 1.5 mil)

3. 1,000,000damage / 270sec = 3703.7 Damage per Second (DPS)

 

 

 

Challenging a Parse

 

If you believe that one of the posted logs was falsified, you can challenge it in this thread. Make sure that your claim presents a valid issue with the parse. If your parse is challenged, you must defend it. To defend your parse, invite a trustworthy player into your group and parse on the combat dummy for two minutes using only your basic attack (eg. Strike/Assault for Sentinel/Marauders). From this, it can be determined whether the parse was fake or not. Please make sure that you know the parse is fake.

Howdy folks,

 

I will be updating the parses from the previous thread so there is no need to repost them. I may change the format to better fit the thread but rules will remain the same as before.

Now here's the funky part:

Sages and Assassins share the same color whereas Shadows and Sorcerers share the same color.

 

The initial patch 1.2 icon release was supposed to be Sage/Sorcerer cyan and Shadow/Assassin royal blue, so I will be doing so accordingly.

For "Time to Kill", I will be replacing all those words with to make things less redundant

"Class" and "Spec" will now be condensed into

dps: ₯s

All guild tags will now be displayed right next to character name inside <GUILD NAME> to immitate in-game style.

I will be retroactively readjusting all the parses, but since it was already based on TTK, there should be no change in rankings.

Folks,

I am currently looking at the All-Star section: with only 5 spots available, this means that more than 3 other advanced classes will never make the board. Therefore, I am introducing Honorable Mention right after 5th place. How will it work? It will only be available to classes that did not make the top 5 of All-Star. However, since It is possible to have one or more of the same advanced class that makes the top 5, this means that, at most, 6 advanced classes may not make All-Star. Now, should this happen, the 6 advanced classes will have to fight for the 3 Honorable Mention spots; interesting, no?

 

TL;DR

Introducing Honorable Mentions in All-Star Leaderboard specifically for Advanced Classes that did not make that Leaderboard. One Honorable Mention per Advanced Class.

 

All the more incentive for less FotM classes to post their parses!

Howdy,

 

Need more folks to parse their best on the 1.5mil dummy! I understand 1.5mil dummy parse feels like a long distance swim as opposed to a short distance sprint in the pool, but there are always those crazy swimmers out there that do the 500s or the mile swims. Be one of those and claim your place on the leaderboard, today!

 

Also, Vanguard/Powertech parses would be highly appreciated.
