Ruskyandrei Posted January 1, 2012 Share Posted January 1, 2012 Hello I have 400 Artifice and as a tank I have been trying to get the best (Artifact) versions of several items. One of these is this: http://www.torhead.com/item/DP2ADs I obtained the prototype version (the Redoubt Hyperaccelerated Shield Generator with + def) and have been crafting many in order to RE and hope for an Artifact version. However, after 20 or so RE's I still have not succeeded. Is it possible there is no artifact version ? Anyone got more insight into this matter ? Thanks. Sky_walkerPL Posted January 1, 2012 Share Posted January 1, 2012 I only noticed one rule: IF an item has +critical bonus by default and you craft a critical version of it (for even higher critical bonus) than getting a purple version of it is VERY difficult. Same with redoubt (I did not test overkill, but I'm almost sure same rule applies). Add to this the fact that you craft high-level item and you are end up with very very low chance to craft purple.
