I had no plans to do them. Yes, you will be forced to do Arena's at this point. The reason, I believe, is to get more people involved in them, players are content when it comes to PvP. Same thing with removing 8v8, they want as many people in Arena's as they can possibly get to give them the best chance for a positive outcome. At least they're trying to learn from the mistakes that were made with ranked preseason 1. By forcing people you also may be able to get people who wouldn't have tried it into it and they like it and que for ranked, which I believe is their overall goal. To push as many players into ranked as possible, and, as much as I'm not interested in Arena's, it looks like the ranked system they're going to have will be quite superior to what 8v8's had.
