natashina
I did not notice any other threads dedicated to this subject. If there is, please link to me the redirect. I have a tinfoil hat theory about Sith purebloods ending up as slaves(as per the SI story.) I think perhaps it was because their families somehow fell out of favor with the Dark Council. I can see the adults killed and the children taken into slavery, including the player's character. Then the Sith might not show sensitivity at first, keeping him/her in bondage. This theory could possibly explain how a Force sensitive Pureblood would be kept as a slave. Thoughts, ideas, theories? I'm not going to get into possibly why Inquistors start as slaves. That has it's own thread. Edited April 24, 2012 by natashina
PaintSticks
Hummm doesn't the empire has some rule where slavery gets past down from parent to child too? So like what if like a sith pureblood, slept with some slave girl, she had the child and now the child is a slave. Ive read that 'pureblood' doesn't really mean they are just pure sith. http://swtor.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_Pureblood So maybe its that?
legolegion
the reason pure bloods feature in the inq story line is simple we voted on it intialy bioware said no sithpure bloods where warriors only but we all complained and got our way:)
Bhaers
It really irked me that my Inquisitor Pureblood started as a slave. Spoiler on first 10 levels and it irked me no end that the first poerson over us was a human who denigrated one as a slave. No Pureblood would put up with this in my eyes. In the end I had to close my eyes and just get through those levels fast to escape the face I was started out as one. So far the only thing that has come close relates to ancestry, but I have not yet fleshed out all the details. Spoiler on the ghost Made you look Am still researching him to write anything of sense, but I feel there is a hook there I can use eventually Edited April 24, 2012 by Bhaers
PaintSticks
Oh hey, in this thread they are talking about the storys and people are saying you find out that the SI becomes a slave for killing someone they should not have killed. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=428050 So that kinda solves it, anyone can be forced into slavery in the empire i guess. Not for me! Sith are able to kill whomever they like if they are strong enough, or die trying. How else could we have plans on being the emperor himself? natashina
Thanks for the link! It does make a lot of sense and it's a good thread. I also spent some time on the Sith wiki pages as well. There are some neat stories in there and I'm trying to familiarize myself a little more with the EU. It's an idea I've been having fun with the tinfoil hat theories. What other reasons do you think a vaunted Sith Pureblood could become a slave? But like idk, what if the person you killed was your uncle and your parents say you dishonored the family name, so they sell you to the save trade. Could be anything really. One of the ways I somewhat pictured the Sith family society as being akin to the Drow cities from Forgotten Realms. They constantly vie for positions of power, never do anything overt to offend their Goddess(or, in the case of ToR, the Emperor,) and will destroy/enslave each other if the other house falls. That was one reason. The other that was mentioned, regarding an "unsanctioned" murder, didn't seem to fit well. It seems like that should have been a mark for death, or no chance of becoming free again. Perhaps, it could be just because the Force sensitivity had begun to show at the beginning of the SI storyline. Again, I'm a tinfoil hat roleplayer atm and bouncing around ideas.
