Does it make sense to reject a mission?

I am curious as to what you think... does it ever make sense to reject a mission if it sounds like a trap?

(Corruscant Storyline)

There is this one mission on Corruscant, the only one I ever actually rejected in beta. I've never done it before. You're being asked to steal a letter from a Senator who supposedly schemes against the Jedi by someone who claims to belong to the "true Republic", defenders of the ideals of the Republic and she tells you quite a sob story. I guess[/i ]if I actually do this, I'll be caught with my hand in the cookie jar and the Jedi order will have to explain why a Jedi steals something from a Senator actually achieving the opposite of what I came to do. Now, the wisest thing would be not to do it, or, if the game gave the chance, investigate in depth. However, typically, no matter how stupid your actions are, doing a mission is as far as I've seen always more rewarding than not doing it.
