Filter **** much? Lower the use of the filter lol.

Obviously the intention wasn't to make them look like normal screenshots. So no. :]

PS: I only enhanced the original coloring and gave the image's a glow.

Someone's a grumpy teddy bear. Let's pinch his cheeks.

He's got a point, honestly. Slapping a trendy photoshop filter on an image is a really annoying trend that people have been in for the past ten or so years. It's not cool, unique, or artsy. It's gotten to the point where just about anyone with a trained eye or has significant experience in digital art sees it and goes "Not this again. People be trying to compensate for their lack of artistic vision with photos with filters. /scoff."

Seriously. Quoted for truth.

I see this stuff rampant on the Fan Art forum these days.

Peeps, please. This thread was not meant to be for discussion about artistic techniques or lack thereof. Let's just all post the screenies of our characters that we like best and let's refrain from bashing someone for doing something we do not approve of - for that there is deviant art or any other similar social site. K? Pretty please?

I love how my post is treated like the problem when it's merely a well-worded response to a pre-existing conversation in this thread.

Sorry, not meant directly at you, used your post because it shows very well where the problem is - we are not here to criticize, just to share. It would be awesome if none of the pre-existing conversations happened, and even more awesome if no such conversations appear in the future.

Granted, I am not a mod on this forum, I can't tell any of you what to do, but I started this thread and was really enjoying seeing all the images posted. Let's not ruin that and just move on, ok?

Moving on. Here's my trooper with Aric and some random corpse:

That's the EXACT picture I tried to get of my Warrior when he reached that part of his story, but it was one of very few times I couldn't get prnt scrn to work properly. :( Just couldn't get the screenshot to take properly and go to the folder. Sad panda.

Your guy looks wicked sweet though. I like to think my Human looked similar in that pose.

Thanks! :) And yes, sadly, the Print Screen hardly ever works in the game. That's why I always have FRAPS on when playing. It doesn't even slow down my aged comp, so I think I can recommend it as the most reliable way to get good screenies. :)

I know, I have trouble getting the screenshot to work properly during cutscenes myself. Ill try to work on getting cooler poses later on, I totally love this idea to show off our characters.

While waiting on that, heres just a simple non-cutscene screenie of my main character Samal, without the helmet that a guildie described as "combination of Darth Baras and a traffic cone".

I'll have to give it a look see some time. :) Thumbed through the pictures I do have, but realized that just about all of them are of every cool thing I liked except for my warrior himself. Will work on getting a good shot of him and will post it soon!

Woah I've been looking for a program for this! You're awesome, thanks a ton :3

This is the official website: http://www.fraps.com/

Glad to be of service! FRAPS and the trusty ESC key for the cutscenes have been my best friends as far as screenies go. I sometimes replay a cutscene 3-4 times to get the best possible shot. Well, I guess I'm not quite right in the head. :D

And here's a 'happy accident' screeenie of my Sith who's about to have his butt fried:
