I want change Advanced Class

I guess is a right after such a nerfing patches and big changes on expertise and pvp.

Vanguard/Powertech Assault Specialist is much better than Commando/Mercenary Assault Specialist build.

I've spent 4 monthes improving my commando and now i have to trash it. Even a TANK is doing more DPS than me.

BW LET ME CHANGE MY ADVANCED CLASS.

Why stop there? How about change from Mercenary to Marauder? Hey let's also be able to do it on the fly mid fight. Better yet. Give us all the abilities of all the classes so we wouldn't have to bother with choices at all.

Don't be ridiculous.

You can't change advanced classes in this game.

The reasons for that are clear.

There is a forum for requesting a change to the game, I believe it is also clearly labeled the suggestion forum.

That being said, it's pretty ridiculous to request something that has clear reasons for not being allowed and has nothing to do with PvP to be changed while in the PVP FORUM, wouldn't you agree?

That was the point of my post. Some changes to his class and he's crying oh the class is useless let me swap. The funny thing I'm still meeting those that are still ****** face.

let me try... are u a marauder/sentinel user?

anyaway doesn't matter what's your class. Focus on this point:

after 1.2 another class has your SAME BUILD but is dealing more damage and is taking ABOUT HALF DAMAGE.

are you still happy?

are they paying more than me to have this advantage?

think more before type a keyboard.

hey genius, let me know the reason why i can't change my advanced class.

you seems to know a lot of things. i hope you want talk about role playing because i don't see nothing about role playing nerfing and patching a game.

FOR ME AFTER 4 MONTHES OF PLAYING IS RESONABLE THAT BW WILL ASK WHAT I WANT TO DO WITH MY TIME. I'M THE ONLY PERSON THAT WOULD DECIDE IF IT WASTED OR NOT. THE SAME AS THE MADE A FREE RESPEC FOR COMBAT MEDIC E GUNNERY I WOULD LIKE TO DECIDE IF MY CLASS IS STILL PLAYABLE OR NOT.

From what I've seen there are no broken classes (there are minor imbalances, but nothing game-breaking). I understand that some classes are at a disadvantage when fighting certain other classes, but there are always workarounds and strategies.

The classes in SWTOR are very balanced in comparison to other MMOs I've played. Really, I think that this is about you being unhappy playing your current advanced class. I'm not saying you are bad at the game or can't play properly, but certain people excel at certain roles. For example, I consider myself and excellent tank and I was a competent healer in other games, but I can't play DPS roles effectively.

I understand your frustration, but you'd simply be better re-rolling as your desired class/AC/role. I don't foresee them implementing the ability to change advanced classes.

You made the decision to choose the commando class.

You knew at the time that you wouldn't have the option to change that decision once you made it.

You can spend as much time as you like deciding whether or not you wasted your time leveling your commando, and then when you're done deciding that, you can decide whether or not you want to man up and level a different AC or continue complaining about not being able to switch advanced classes.

The reality is that as Bioware loses more and more subscriptions, they'll look for more ways to monetize outside of subscriptions and target their active players - and since swapping ACs has been discussed since beta, it makes sense they'd allow the ability to do this for a price (look at Blizzard - they just made Scroll of Resurrections give a lapsed user a free upgrade to Cata and a level 80 character! That's a crazy change which suggests they are sacrificing original intention to hopefully grab a few lapsed users back into the game).

I'd see them putting some rules around it to prevent level 50s from swapping their ACs because they feel nerfed - most likely, they'd target lapsed users who have characters below level 30 or something.

I'd ask you the same thing. You want to roll the FOTM without rerolling.

EPIC FAIL!!!

And FYI My level 22 Marauder hasn't been touched in so long. I have one of every single advance class. (mirrors not included)

In the long run, anything is possible. Just because they say "no, definitely not" now, doesn't mean they won't change their minds. However, I am certain this isn't going to happen any time soon. Nor do I think it should; I see AC's as separate classes and changing from one to another is almost like being able to change your class. Also I don't see being able to change AC's as a huge draw for more subs. But give it a year or so and it may happen. Maybe next xpac; I think they've got their priorities on a timeline for this one.

Ok, I can understand that after having pains-takingly moulded your class AC,

buffs and tweaks to the class can be a real PITA.

But seriously, you are going to have to learn to live with it, 'cos in all the MMOs

I have played through the years, this is an on-going event. This WILL happen

again and again... it can suck, it can be a bonus, but it will happen.

i know it can be frustrating... i myself am a merc trying to adapt...

but it will happen in every MMO no matter what...

In the end when you signed the blasted one sided EULA, you have agreed that the game maker / publisher (BIOWARE/EA in this case) can do whatever changes they see fit in the classes, game itself and everything related to it.

almost every mmo at some point down the road has given the option to some sort of a class change etc... on the other hand it has always been (to my experience) the last resort to usually save a game that is dieing or heavily bleeding in the subscriptions. And at that point you would not want to change your AC anyways IMO.

It was in SWG for about 5 years, you could swap from Jedi to commando to bounty hunter to spy to entertainer to crafter to medic to jedi as often as you wanted (or could afford with ingame credits, but could easily do it 10 times before it was a financial strain).

The universe didnt implode and profession variety still existed even when class blance shifted around.

I dont see anything THAT extreme ever happening for TOR since your class story would be in turmoil and you already have a squad of class specific companions and a class specific ship. But changing ACs wouldnt have any of those issues. Personally I wouldnt have an issue with it as it could be balanced by simply putting a long lockout (like say 180 days). That would allow a player to swap once in a great while (once every six months) for the sake of variety or mistaken class selection but long enough to prevent changing with every update. Could also make it require a certain legacy level.

are you trolling at me?

i've choose my adv. class 4 monthes ago and i didn't see a banner that was saying "pay attention within 4 monthes your class will be nerfed and such a DPS the Vanguard AC will be 1000 times better"
