Schoock
You should check out some things though ! For example when you say that Chaff Flare does not grant an immunity against Force/Tech attack for I.O. Mercenary it's not true. It increase both your chances to resist to F/T attacks as well as M/R attacks. It's exactly the same as for Sonic Missile for Advanced Prototype (Powertech) or the passive on Explosive Fuel for Shield Specialist (Also Powertech) ! I agree though, it's badly explained and should be made more clear Great work though, a lot of fun to read I gotta admit, I went by the tooltip description, which says defense chance. But it apparently increases resistance too. I'll do my best to fix it, thanks for the notice.
kissingaiur
Hello, Do you mean the Dispel Type column in the table of CCs? The reason why these were left out is because hardstuns, to my best knowledge, cannot be cleansed. Just like mezzes, roots, slows and miscellaneous debuffs, hardstuns as well can be cleansed. Edited: The any cc or debuff with a "type" attached to it should always be cleansable. Hence why, abilities such as carbonize which does not have a "type" associated with the cannot be cleansed. Some CCs/debuffs sometimes look like they cannot be cleansed because cleanses have no priority system so you might cleanse 2 debuffs when you wanted to cleanse a hardstun etc. MAYBE in a future patch we can get this fixed. Kurj
I just wanted to say again: thank you for putting this up. We have needed something like this for a long time, and now more than ever with all the new players who seem to be giving PVP a try. Three cheers! Yes, sadly the "cleanse removes two random things" is beyond annoying. You want to clear a mez and it just takes some slows away. As for the hardstuns, I always thought they were uncleansable. (Not sure where I got this from.) I'll look into this. Thanks for the note, appreciated.

Thanks for the note, appreciated. Trust me imagine being in a ranked pvp match and your tank gets mezzed, you instantly cleanse your tank and he is still in mez (cleansed a debuff and a slow). It's extremely annoying; I really, really hope they fix this. I actually sent one of the devs a PM about it, asking if we could possibility having a priority system in place for cleanse. At least I planted a seed lol. No problem. Thank you again for your guide. Edited December 13, 2017 by kissingaiur
Schoock
One thing about hypergates, pretty sure nobody gets points for people dying in the explosion or while the explosion is happening. When its over the counter continues. If I am wrong about this im going to hide in a cave. I have just verified it by staying out in explosions myself. Deaths by pylon explosion DO count towards the enemy score. The explosion is just part of the next round. Schoock
Well damn. I really enjoyed sitting there watching everyone run for mid, telling myself they were all wasting their time. Well there are still some legit tactical reasons for staying out in the explosions. Just be aware this costs your team some points. To offer a little comfort, before doing this guide, I, too, thought dying to the explosion doesn't count. supertimtaf
I gotta admit, I went by the tooltip description, which says defense chance. But it apparently increases resistance too. I'll do my best to fix it, thanks for the notice. One thing to note is that when you open your character menu and go to the «Defense chances» section, it opens a tooltip with «Melee/Ranged/Force/Tech» separated. No class has a base resist chance to F/T attack so it will usually stay empty, but those buffs that I previously quoted increases all four stats at the same time. (It's really badly explained ) Another thing to note is that it will always display the highest of these four stats as your «Defense Chance» stat. Hence you'll see 75% displayed on your defense chances as a marauder under Ruthless Aggressor. Glad that I was able to help you !
AlrikFassbauer
Everyone move over to imp side ! Rep side won't get such a detailed guide ! I'm not at all surprised that this guide is merely for imp classes only ... And people wioll answer me : You know that there are moirror classes, right ?" And I'll answer to that : For mirror clkasses, why wasn't that guide made for the Rep side in the first place ? You said it doesn't matter for which side it's made, because they are mirror classes ... What's so ... bad ... about Rep classes that people simply refuse to do guides for THAT side WHEN they do have the choice because of mirror classes ? teclado
Woah...that actually blew me away with the level of detail. I wasn't expecting anything close to that. I'll go through and read it all at some point. Well done!

Person who wrote the guide plays Imp side and it’s up to the writer to choose which classes to include. If it’s more comfortable for him to use Imp terms then so it is in Imp terms. No need to be bicker... Also you are welcome to write a guide yourself using Rep classes. FYI I am Rep player mostly.
supertimtaf
Still some tank abilities and tank passives that do offer this though. There isn't any passive ability that increase your F/T resistance, this would be way to OP in pvp, giving you permanently a small chance to completely avoid a cc for example, the tank passive increase your shield chance, who aren't exactly the same, since you'll always take damage even when you shield an attack There is, afaik, only one tank ability who does increase F/T resist chance, the explosive fuel on tank PT. Shroud increase F/T resist chance by 200% also but it's not really a tank only ability Edit : There is actually two other ability, I had to log on my guardian to check but Blade Barrage increase F/T resist chance by 6% after it's use for 6 seconds, as well as Riposte, who increase Force/Tech resistance by 5% after its use for 10 seconds. Banderal
This thing is amazing. Uhm, one minor thing I think I haven't seen mentioned anywhere. You can interrupt a cap with your actual "interrupt" ability, and then it actually prevents them from trying to cap again for the 4 seconds. Admittedly, I'm guilty of usually forgetting to do this, but I'm pretty sure it still works. And if it's in the guide and I missed it - sorry. Maybe this guide could be used as a barrier to solo ranked. Bioware could implements a "you must answer correctly one random question from Ne'laa's PvP guide, before you are allowed in ranked". Is there anyone who could help me accomplish this with my Sith Marauder? Thanks in advance...:):) It is a personal thing, how to key bind Would be important to find out if you can move with the mouse only ? If so then you can keybind basicly anything including your movement keys to abilities, so WSAD could be bound to abilities as well as other around it, QERTFVCXZ all will be within ez access. 1234 on top of that. Then same buttons with Shift or Space for extra slots are quite good to and ez to get used to. you could leave couple, say A and S for strafing. If thats not possible you can move movement to E,S and F then key bind abilities around it. You dont need backpeddle button, its of little use. Usually its good to put most important or most frequently used abilities within eziest reach. Also for some its good to put abilities in order of their execution, for example for Fury Mara, say leap is Q, then Force Crush W, Battering Assault E, Ravage R and Furious Strike T for example or whateveer is your abilities priority. Also any extra buttons your mouse or keyboard has could be used too. If you give more information someone could give you better tips PS : Come to the Light Side. Discover true ways of the Force. TL;DR Put rotational stuff on spam buttons Put cooldowns on easy-to-reach-but-not-spam buttons Put usables on far-away-so-you-don't-accidentially buttons And gaming mice with buttons on them are nice. The end. Edited January 4, 2018 by Evolixe
