Given that both the Jedi Guardian and the Sith Juggernaut are capable of DPS builds, beyond the aesthetics of dual blades, is there a point to the Sentinel and Marauder specialisations? What value are they bringing to the classes that the other specialisations don't? This isn't a moan, I'm just curious Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Draloch Posted December 6, 2012 Share Posted December 6, 2012 I'm not an expert on Guardian dps, but good Sentinels can crank it out just about as good as anyone. Guardians can tank, if you want to do that, and they have some pvp utility (taunts) that make them useful in pvp even as a dps spec. I'm not an expert in PvP, but I think if that's what you're most interested in, then Guardian would get the edge. If you just want to dps in PvE, then I'd recommend Sentinel. I've researched builds and the Guardian and the Juggernaut can pump out almost as much DPS as a Sentinel and Marauder, there seems very little in it and whilst you can't tank as much as a pure tank, you can still tank more on the tank builds than the DPS builds, so what's the point?
