However, he had taken a break from the game, and how that he has returned, he is wondering if Darkness has the lowest DPS. Bare in mind, back then we had skill trees and you could be a hybrid. To the OP - Darkness is a tanking discipline and as such, DPS is not its priority, so you need to restructure your question, as in its current form, there is no rational answer that I can give you.
