Just a quick question,

 

Does anyone know the differences between the flashpoints between factions. (Other than the obvious ones like maelstrom prison v foundary).

 

Like are they radically different or pretty much the same with the same bosses and stuff.

I've wondered this kind of stuff myself, but will only know when I try diff characters. It would be cool if someone posted a response.

HM Esseles used to be extremely difficult. Its difficulty appears to be tuned down to what it should be post-1.2, though from my experience it's still a bit tougher and longer than HM Black Talon, which is insanely easy even for fresh 50s and can be cleared in 10-20 minutes.

 

HM Taral V is probably a bit faster and easier than HM Boarding Party if you know how to skip all the beginning mobs. Neither is that difficult though and can be cleared without much difficulty with relatively fresh 50s.

 

Only did HM Maelstrom Prison once, probably about the same difficulty as HM Foundry.

 

Esseles and BT are unrelated, but are pretty much mirrors in what they do (Travel to DK/Coruscant). Story with the other FPs starts with Taral V, continues with Maelstrom Prison then BP/Foundry happen after that.

 

Other differences - Normal BP used to be extremely easy to farm for about 40k credits in about 5 minutes. This is no longer the case though as you can't mount in BP any more. You can still mount in Taral V I believe but it is not worth farming for credits.
