Sagerk
if you want to be able to make crystals etc for lightsabers you want to take artifice as your crafting skill, then archeology and... I forgot the other one that feeds it but yeah there are many posts around that give the information you are looking for. EDIT: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=530 there is a good guide here. Edited December 14, 2011 by Sagerk
MaximusFenix
yeah i read that and i figured thats the way id go, the only concern i have is if that is gonna leave me vulnerable on the armor side...

Odosept
artifice-archaeology-treasurehunting or synthweaving-archaeology-underworldtrading or biochem-bioanalysis+somethingelse Well I wanted to do crafting lightsaber parts, so I have archeology (for getting crystals, etc.) and artifice. Does treasure hunting help crafting artifice? It seems like crafting only really needs one skill to get stuff...
momentum
You will need items from treasure hunting whicih you cant get from archaeology, if you want to be able to make everything from artifice without buying any mats. However, most of the items don't require the special mats from what ive seen.
