So which i a better tank the Shadow or the Guardian and why?

Well I will be pretty new to tanking so does one have a easier rotation?

Easier to keep aggro on a shadow and rotation is easier than that of a guardian. However I do prefer playing Guardian but I like a challenge.

This is little tricky.

 

A Guardian has the hardest time keeping agro but requires less work to stay alive. A Shadow has a much easier time keeping agro but requires the most work (button pushing) to stay alive.

Personally, having leveled both (and doing Guardian first), I prefer the Shadow, but it does have a steeper learning curve than the Guard.

And, to gratuitously repeat a (entirely accurate ) cliche:

 

Bad Guardian tanks get the party killed, bad Shadow tanks get themselves killed.
