This is with purple reflex 28 augs in all but 2 slots, and Obroan earpiece, implants and relics. There is no excuse for not having competitive stats in WZs, and there is no excuse for having <2018 expertise.

Damn you, I am enjoying lvl'n my lowibes in pvp and you just make it seem so worthless lol!

However, you must understand that noobs are noobs for a reason. They may not be to the point of researching online as of yet. You can't expect a noob to know about this crap.

The other points you have made about this in previous threads I do agree with though.

This can not be intended by design, it must be some kind of bug but BugWare will not be able to address it for at least one more year...

Question: The best PvP weapons in game today are same or better or worse inside a WZ? Because I have the best PvP weapons and pretty much a full set of best PvP gear -working on mods an enhancements now- and I still get bolstered damage wise upwards.

And the response from BW on this is "we'll look into it" followed by months of cricket noises ... very discouraging.

Yeah this is the norm now everywhere, Tech and Force that I tend to see.

When EA hires incompetent Coders/Devs, this is what we get.

I'm sure Eric will have "combat guy" post a 500 word essay that reinforces my thoughts above.

Yes. Helmet, Chestpiece, Gloves, Leggings, Boots, Belt, Bracers and MH/OH are all filled with blue 46s.

Looks worse than what it really is in the OPs pictures because outside of the warzone he doesn't have the Inquisitor and Warrior buffs. Regardless its still a very stupid bug.

What you should be comparing the "in WZ" stats too are the Obroan/Conqueror level stats. For example, my Commando which is fully augmented, Obroan relics, implants, earpiece, mh, 2/3 oh, belt, bracers, boots, and Conqueror Helmet, Chestpiece, leggings, and gloves (all the gear that used to be on my Merc I moved to my commando) has 850 ranged/1430 tech bonus damage, 25% crit, 75% surge multiplier, and 31.7k health in exactly the same spec.

For a tiny fraction of the time investment, you can get ~95% of the base stats of end-game PvP gear by using low level items.

Dont see any problem.

It could be an issue only to the people who go to WZ not to have the fun from PvP but out of the «grind instinct».

And yet I see people every day enter Regular Warzones and Solo Ranked not equipped properly for PvP. And when I offer up suggestion on how to easily do it, Im told to fk off.

And it is an issue b/c it all but eliminates the need for actual PvP gear to PvP. Which would be fine if the gearing system was structured around that; but it is not, and this is a massive loop-hole. There is no substitute for PvE gear in end-game, yet a massive double standard is allowed to exist.

I am not even using the 69/63/61 stuff for my MH in this test bc I dont feel like investing the time/credits to get those components, but it would make my base damage and ranged bonus damage even greater than shown in this test.

69/66/58 works fine fine and is inexpensive to get.

On a Merc it puts ranged damage at 1800+ top end and Tech at 1480 ish.

Sounds like gear means **** in PvP once your lvl 45 and only skill is left.

Not at all.

It means that anyone can spend a minimal amount of credits/planetary comms and obtain a slight gear advantage over people that spent a ton of their time and effort obtaining top-tier PvP gear.

In a contest of equal skill, the advantage goes to the player sporting mid-level PvE gear.

If it sounds like I'm supporting a gear gap, I'm not. I actually hate grinding for gear. But SWTOR was designed, built, and marketed as a GEAR-DRIVEN MMORPG. This entire game is structured around the gear treadmill and now there's a way around it. Not only can you avoid it altogether, you can actually place yourself in a better position than the folks who geared according to the game's design.

That kind of bad design tends to leave a foul taste in peoples' mouths.

This is the best expression of the problem here that I have seen in a while.
