Siliarba
Hi, i can understand that this is something almost trivial and i can even fully understand if this never happens. But i recently made a Sith Trooper and seeing Sith are in the same class as humans they also get the "human" replies of every conversation, but if you ask me a Sith on the Republic side should get the "alien" responses and if even possible some conversations should even be distrustfull or even close to insulting seeing i doubt many republic would accept a Sith instantly, same goes for a Chiss and rattataki i guess. As i sed i can totally see how this is to difficult to implement but i thought i just throw it out here and fish for replies.
Jandi
If you make a twi'lek sith warrior, you are referred to as a sith. It's hilarious when my lil twi'lek girl started saying on korriban to the one quest dude something along the lines of "You question my purity? I AM SITH!" and one other, can't remember who, said "it's nice to see another pureblood amongst this rabble"

Katahn
Ok, that is pretty hilarious. ^^ I think the assumption here is that the sith species is able to intermingle with a lot of different species. Human and zabrak sith warriors are assumed to be the descendants of non-sith that have intermarried with pure sith. Evidently twi'leks can also be descended (on one side or the other) from a pureblooded sith. Makes it easy to have different species "related" to each other as siblings I guess
Captain_Zone
It's nothing more than a pallet swap. For some odd reason, Purelbloods on the Republic side are treated as Human. Chiss on the Republic side are just treated as generic aliens. Basically from what I've seen so far, Pureblood = Human and Chiss = Mirialan. Since Mirialans can interbreed with Humans, and Risha had the kids talk with me, that was the conclusion I came to.
Jenzali
On a related note, there are more Sith in Tython than on Korriban as of patch 1.2.
Phyreblade
Funniest thing, ever. Arguing with a Sith Pureblood about whether or not the Jedi will accept Sith Purebloods into their ranks. As a Sith Pureblood Jedi, lol.

As a Sith Pureblood Jedi, lol. This right here is ultimately why I will most likely never make use of the legacy unlock of the sith purebloods I got when my juggernaut hit 50. I'd love to play one, but I'd want the game to know I was one and react to it, otherwise what's the purpose of story?

They would have to redo all the conversations where species is referenced in any way, twice. Chiss is also a heavily imperial only species. A chiss would never really join the republic and their culture doesn't really allow "strays".
YoshiRaphElan
A chiss would never really join the republic and their culture doesn't really allow "strays". I dunno. When my Chiss agent reaches 50 (and when 1.3 comes out) I'll transfer him to another server, where I'll start a Chiss legacy - four brothers. My agent, the oldest, stayed with the Empire out of a sense of loyalty to his family, but two brothers split off, becoming a smuggler and a bounty hunter, while the third became disgusted with the Empire and joined the Republic. Chiss don't HAVE to join the Empire. Some do to help the cause of "Keeping The Imps Out Of Ascendancy Space", but there is nothing to prevent some Chiss from joining the Republic. They are simply disavowed to the Empire by their own people in the interest of keeping the peace between Ascendancy and Empire. For example, my Sniper and Gunslinger are brothers. Older bro joined Imperial Intelligence as a Double Agent for the Ascendancy to keep tabs on the Imperials. Younger bro decided to join a spacer crew and ended up buying his own ship with the money he made as a freighter crewman.

You are right about it being unreasonable to expect the conversations to change, and I am not demanding they do be changed. I am just saying that the inconsistency would bug me and that is why I won't do it. That's all. As for the Chiss... well others have answered that and I agree with them. There is no reason a Chiss couldn't become an outlaw or an expat of the Ascendency and work and operate with the Republic. In fact I imagine Force-sensitive Chiss may very well prefer that to joining the SIth given the rather emotionless demeanor they have as a race. Jandi
Nothing is really stopping a pureblood from leaving the empire either. Edited June 7, 2012 by Jandi
Tuscad
Nothing is really stopping a pureblood from leaving the empire either. They had better be powerful because Republic Citizen Prejudice would be strong, I am sure the average Republic citizen would lynch a Sith Pureblood if they got the chance because of the Great War. Yeah I think that's the one race that 'Pub's' would be racist against. Most don't know about Chiss so they'd probably get away. But the good thing about legacy unlocks is that it forces you to make a race with a class on what would be most suitable. Sure you can make a Pureblood Jedi, but you can't do it without making a Pureblood Sith (except spending loads of money), so it's not like the number of Republic Pureblood will overtake the number of Pureblood on the Empire, thus keeping it more true to lore. spectreclees
I think a lot of people misunderstand that Sith is a cultural and standing and also a species.
Jandi
I think a lot of people misunderstand that Sith is a cultural and standing and also a species. What are you on about? Not one poster in this thread has mixed them up. That comment makes no sense whatsoever in this context.
