Deganji
My heal speced scoundrel is closing in on 50, so I was thinking it'd be nice to have a dps alt for when i need a break from healing. Thing is, I'm decent at healing but never been that great with a dps class. I'm looking at either a commando or sage to fill this spot. Which one would give me the most bang for the buck, so to speak. Also, I have some nerve damage to my left hand so I play with a combination of clicking and binding. I know its not the best way to play but it's the best I can do, so which one would have a "simpler" rotation that would be more forgiving if I miss an ability or something. Thanks all. Qonor
My alt is a pyrotech (shared) mercenary. I've heard that the arsenal mercenary has an even easier rotation. I don't know what the Republic equivalent is.
CitizenFry
I find gunslinger rotations pretty easy, especially because you don't have to worry about facing, but maybe I wouldn't if I had to click. Hrm. Vanguard-Assault Specialist is pretty simple. I'd probably suggest staying away from any melee class (Vanguard-Tactics, any Sentinel or Guardian or Shadow). I'd also recommend avoiding Sage DPS, because the decision tree relies on what abilities have proc'd, and having to look to see what buff you gained and then move the mouse to the correct ability to click would suck. I haven't played a commando, but I gather that the Gunnery spec is fairly straightforward (grav round a lot, demo round/full auto occasionally). StewieMcScotty
the Class with the easiest rotation right now is Arsenal Merc/ Gunnery Commando. 5 abilities are used at max and your primary one is one that you just spam until you see circles of light go around you then you hit/click Unload/Full Auto with 2 other abilities that are used whenever they are up. Very easy rotation and very friendly to clicking just keep in mind that missing an ability or miss clicking is always going to hurt your dps but with this class and with good bar set up it wont hurt nearly as much
Deganji
Thanks all for the info. I'll probably go with a commando, I don't really want to play empire. Only thing that worries me on it is that people will expect me to respec to heal. I'd rather not as my main is a dedicated healer. Hopefully people will understand. Sniper looked interesting, but I read it was the most difficult class to play, I'd just look like an idiot playing one. As far as clicking goes, I click the least used skills, and bind the most used. A simpler rotation just makes it a little easier to bind. I normally use the arrow keys and mouse to move and my abilities bound to the number pad. It makes it easier for me to find the buttons that way. My hand tends to lose position on wasd. I know it's not optimal, but at least I try to bind some abilites. Thanks again all! thehod
Marksman sniper is 3-4 buttons Most of which is spamming snipe/ambush + followup + series of shots finally takedown.

Svii
If you're using 3-4 buttons as any Sniper spec, you're failing. From the top of my head in MM spec, I use at least 12 buttons for damage and then you have your defensive CDs. APM (actions per minute) is around 35ish. Engineer is a bit more complicated at first. I mostly play this spec in PvP, so I haven't tried prolonged fights in this spec. Lethality is about equal to MM in APM, but slightly easier/forgiving to play efficiently due to being a DoT spec. Contrary to what many are saying, I find that it is very easy to keep track of your dots. Just make sure to use Cull and WB as often as you can. Tobradex
Arsenal BH is pretty easy as far as rotation goes. Min/maxing gear is a bit more complex and can make a big difference on endgame DPS as I understand, however, only if you get to that point. GeneralShade
The arsenal mercenary rotation is easy and has minimal heat management issues.
Marak
Dirty Fighting gunslinger is painfully easy. My rotation is basically this: Flyby on cooldown (1minute) > Illegal mods on cooldown (more or less. Time it to go with certain things) > 3-4-5-6 (channeled) > 2 (channeled) > 3-4-5-6 (channeled) > 7-8 > rinse/repeat. It seems like a lot, but it's so fluid that it's super easy. There's no procs to watch out for and it's basically the same rotation every time and even the dots aren't hard to watch since they all line up with each other and the cast times on your filler stuff. CecilPaladin
Mercs are definately easy rotations. I would have to say a sorc/sage hybrid dps is one of the simplest as well. You have basically 2 instant cast dots to maintain. You spam one ability, Force Lightning / Telekenitc Throw, the entire time, and watch for a proc to cast another instant cast spell. Never run out of mana as force lightning actually regen's your force. It gets a bit more complicated if you want to add utility with bubbles, heals, combat res, force pulls, force speed, and the various cd's. But the normal dps rotation is pretty mindless.
