Maybe you could give some tips how not to get shut down in first five seconds of the match? i usually open with hydrolics right before combat starts (right before it is inevitable though as wasting it would be devastating) to negate sins spike, pts pull and mostly warrior leap roots. And then just keep running/power surge/instant tracers/heatseeker/railshot/net etc. I hope that im the focus target because i know that i can negate the dmg long enough and survive long enough. I dont count on the fact that im going to be able to stand 25m away and free cast missiles/unload into someone. Dont need to though. The initial burst is so devastating that so much of the time an enemy gets globaled before he can even react to break the net + pop cds, etc. hard stun, hydrolics, jet boost, chaff flare specced into, rocket punch root specced into along with shield, kolto overload, adrenal and medpac you should be able to run away and survive and make people lose games because they decided to focus you and they failed while your teammates killed your focus target. just run. dps merc cant stand toe to toe with any class in the game and not get completely shut down, unlike snipers who can for a little while. a trail of sins and warriors would chase me for awhile and then give up and turn around many games. And they wasted the time and cds for nothing as i now have distance and no threat to free cast on them and/or heal to full if needed. is just how i approached it though and am in no way a dps merc expert as I had never even played the class a month ago and just hit 1500 with it last night after leveling one for the sole reason to have every class at 1500 when i had already had 7/8 for a while. merc is pretty bad imo. but is basically just like every other class where you shut down what others are trying to do and profit. Pretty much confirms what I think most people suspect: shadow/sin and pt/vg are awesome for solo queue, mando/merc and sage/sorc are tougher. The ranked pops were too infrequent, and when they were popping there were too many bums dragging my rating into the mud. 1400 will have to be good enough for me. Getting either 24k or 37k people in my team or 3v4s. Current rating on merc is something about 1000 and I eventually gave up as well, but I guess I'll have to give it a try again. The line breaks under "highest earned" don't match what's in game. As well as weird color variations... Anyway, no I haven't gotten every class to 1500+ yet, but I have a lot. I'm on Pot5 though. When someone has 1500s of multiple classes, no. While 1500 is not particularly impressive, it is still true that most players have not attained it.
