Aleeha Posted January 23, 2012 Share Posted January 23, 2012 It would appear that the EV pillars in hard mode appear to have a problem with bugging out if one side has to click more than the other. If the other side who has fewer clicks finishes first it will bug and the encounter will be un-finishable. Or it will just bug out after the second click. Our HM team figured out that you need to activate the South Pillar first, then you can lock in the North Pillar. Libertine Posted January 23, 2012 Share Posted January 23, 2012 its not a bug, thats the the actual "puzzle" mechanic of hardmode. no, its a bug. if it were the actualy mechanic it would reset after a wipe but the consoles remain unclickable if you dont finish the south one first on 2nd and 3rd wheel. if the consoles are unclickable everyone has to leave the instance, leader resets operations, go back in > clear trash again ... that is definitley NOT the way its supposed to work. jAtlantis Posted January 23, 2012 Share Posted January 23, 2012 Can confirm that solving the wheels in order of North, South, South, North worked for us on hard mode - using the least/most efficient number of steps given by the Force Junkies web-app. We had it bug out twice before that worked, and we didn't pay attention to which side solved first or bother using the best console, so I can't really say what the exact change was that worked. apla Posted January 23, 2012 Share Posted January 23, 2012 Last Friday we first attempted the old SSSS order, but that would lock up the wheels at some point. Going to NSSN seemed to prevent the lock up, but we got overwhelmed by the elites at around the third wheel. We can handle two no problem, but the next three spawning on top of them killed us. Are you guys rotating only on wheel at a time? I.e., don't rotate the first wheel at south at all until north is solved. We tried to go as fast as possible, rotating both wheels and only holding back when either north or south needed to be solved. We also used the optimal direction for each wheel. What you need to do is click as soon as they light up and hope you don't get a double spawn. Whenever we tried any kind of combination and not just instaclicking when it lights up = double spawn of elites. Again, after doing this for x amount of times we're notching it down as a bug/dumb luck with spawns. it doesnt have anything to do with how fast you click it. its all about how long it takes you to solve it in total, 5 fast clicks in the wrong direction will f*ck you up compared to 2 slow clicks in the right one... and we tested it during the weekend, it only bugs if north finishes 2nd and 3rd one first. While the adds are a joke in 8 man, it's basically only a matter of time till you get overwhelmed in 16 considering the mobs have 6x the health of 8 man. They are going to pile up on you. Adds are on a timer, not triggered based on solving pylons.
